We don't know how many NA submissions are being received compared to JP submissions. It could be as simple as JP having a larger amount, which would make it a greater chance for a winner to come from there.

ETA: I suppose if all submissions have to be made on the official forums, I suppose you COULD compare numbers. Is that how it works? And if so, has anyone actually looked?

People from all over NA submitted via tumblr and posted their entries that weren't picked. I'd be surprised if the number wasn't decently even.

Dammit...I don't like that melee outfit...Oh well...at least the range looks good. Hope the melee version for it isn't trash.

I like both sets, and they don't feel like things we already have. As much as I like the lost allagan set, seemed like we had similar stuff before with high allagan. That said of course we'll have to see when they come out.

I wonder if one will be the dungeon gear in 4.5, or if we'll be waiting for 5.0 and beyond for these.

Assuming we're stopping at 4.5 again, I wouldn't expect these till 5.0. The tank set was announced before the expansion was announced, and I believe was previewed at one of the fanfest liveletters before its eventual SB release. The first fanfest is quickly approaching, so I figure they'll show off one of the finished winners there and then sit on it.

They might add one as dgn drops and the other as 24man drops like they did with the tank set.

That'd be 2 completely new sets in 4 months. While I'd love for that to happen, I don't think its reasonable, especially when they staggered the releases of the healer/caster winners.

Question is if they could do that in time. If they only just now picked the winners, they may have decided on the armor models ahead of time. Plus I imagine the raid will be more Ivalice inspired stuff. I could see the dungeon set being a contest if they had time to work on these models in game, but I doubt it for the Ivalice part 3 gear.

And the tank contest gear was from tomestones, creation if I remember right from 4.0, not an alliance raid.

Congratulations to the winners, but this is an instance where I really wish the runners-up would eventually be implemented in-game too, like the furniture and hair design contests. I was rooting for the Delinquent set.
