I THINK UR STUCK WITH AETHERSANDS WHICH HAVE DROPPED IN PRICE. NOT SURE IF FISHINGS GOOD ANYMORE
Capslock? However...
Yeah, it is really sad that there is not much you can do as a fisher to earn some money.
All throughout HW I had a nice income with fishing for aethersands and luckily I had a personal airship and could fish in the Diadem whenever I wanted. Early SB was good too, aethersands and the fish for buffood, especially that sushi...
But since 4.2 it became really hard to earn some gil.
Fishers need expensive gear and materia melds too. Reaching the stat requirements for catching big fish is maybe even harder than what botanist and miner have to deal with.
Siesta at the beach is nice and all, but we need an income too :O
YEAH, I AGREE WITH YOU TAINT. I WISH YOSHI P WOULD GIVE A GOOD FISH TO CATCH LIKE FOR LU SHANGS ROD FROM FFXIV OR SOMETHING AND THEN MAKE A REALLY GOOD BUT RARE FOOD AND UP THE VALUE. LIKE MAYBE IT COULD GIVE +2 STRENGTH OR SOMETHING.
i really wish that desynth level 340 wasn't gated just behind big fish.... also i'm considering resetting my cul desynth as there are no more good rewards - like the assassin beta minion or rare swimsuits (or the cloth to make said rare swimsuits).
Reading Ramrodicus post got me thinking, it could be a nice idea to have CUL crafts using very rare fishes that would permanently boost your attributes within a certain threshold of course.
Something like +10 to all attributes max, +1 per CUL craft. That means one would need a copious amount of rare fishes (and a high level CUL) to max all stats (16 stats including crafting and gathering ones if I count correctly).
I was really hoping they'd add a fishing source for the newest aethersand type.
From the begining of 2.0 fishing was designed NOT to be a moneymaker like it was in FFXI.Reading Ramrodicus post got me thinking, it could be a nice idea to have CUL crafts using very rare fishes that would permanently boost your attributes within a certain threshold of course.
