    That error message indicates that there was a driver crash. Unfortunately, it's a bit vague, so it doesn't indicate exactly what is causing the crash.

    You mentioned it happened with DirectX 9 mode as well, correct? Does it react differently? Does it crash at different times?

    To clarify, when exactly does this error occur, you mentioned that it will happen when you launch the game, but then it sounded like you were able to log in.

    One thing you might want to try is going into the Nvidia Control Panel and selecting 'Manage 3D Settings'. Then go to 'Program Settings' and select 'Final Fantasy XIV'. From here, one of the options should be for selecting the GPU. Make sure it's set to the GTX 1050 (It likely defaults to Auto).
