I have tried the compatibility mode and the clean boot, still crashes in the fights mentioned above. What I did when I reinstalled was I backed up those files and removed them from the my documents folder, and then after reinstalling, I only copy and pasted the FFXIV_CHRXXXX file back into the newly created FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn file in Documents/My Games. Unfortunately, did not help. I am tempted to do a complete factory reset on my computer but I would really appreciate if I can avoid that. As it is, I am barred from doing certain fights like the new suzaku fight and the Tsukuyomi ex fight.

Thank you for the update Kumashe.

Did you try to launch the game without that "FFXIV_CHRXXXX" file? Or did you immediately put it back after reinstallation?

I'd also suggest trying lowering the graphics settings and resolution, even if your GPU can handle it. See how the game reacts to this.

It looks like this is a laptop. Try setting the power options to 'Prefer Maximum Performance' as well as having it plugged in while playing.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

I did launch the game once without the folder, just to make sure it worked before I put it in there. Also, I have tried getting rid of the FFXIV_CHR~~~ folder and at the same time lowered all the graphics settings to "none" or whatever the lowest settings are, and also used the smallest resolution 1024 x 768 in the game's system configuration. I also put the computer's power management in high performance mode and kept the computer plugged in during the whole time. Unfortunately, I still keep getting the same errors.

You are right about the laptop though. I am using a Dell Inspirion gaming laptop with nvidia geforce gtx 1050 gpu and 7th gen i5 cpu.
