I consider myself a sort of part-time elitist, and this is because I do have moods where I may be a bit unreasonable with other players. For example. I jumped into a PF for a Leviathan Ex Pony farm the other day. I was the only "sprout" below level 70. We wipe once. I explain that we can't be hurting Leviathan while the Aether Condensor thingy was below 75, calmly. We wipe again, to Leviathan wiping us from a 30/100 condensor charge. I stay quiet for this second wipe. We wipe a 3rd time, I note the DoT's listed under Leviathan's health bar. I tell them to please stop using DoTs. Three wipes later, and I feel my cool breaking down. I ask them "how difficult of a concept is it to stop pushing buttons? How hard is this mechanic?" We wipe the same exact way for a seventh time once again. I literally kept my weapon stowed for the entire attempt, and just avoided mechanics. I watched as the party of 70's continued to just hit the stupid boss while our charge was below 75.
I lost it. I told them they should be ashamed of themselves for being poor disregarding advise and instruction, and wasting everyone's time, though I only particularly cared about my time, since I was literally the only one who was following procedure. Tank quit. Another player told me, "no you should be ashamed of yourself."
On the other side of the spectrum, while I've been leveling my new character on Brynhildr, I encounter sprout tanks all the time that don't know what they're doing. I remain extremely tolerant of their behavior for extended periods of time. I gave one tank 30 minutes of straight guidance for Titan normal, and never felt particularly bothered.
This is why I consider myself a sort of part-time elitist.
Greetings and salutations, adventurers.
