If you can kill Suzaku, why should you have to grind grind grind to get 350 stuff just to have a little fun on a 2nd, 3rd, etc job?

EDIT: Also, for that matter, I'd love to know why we stopped doing dungeon weapons. Even if they were a bit behind in I-level, not sure why it'd be so terrible if dungeons would drop weapons. I have like 3-4 jobs that are Lv70, wearing a hodge-podge of 355/345/325 armor, but have 300 weapons because the tomestones are needed elsewhere. For example, my freaking RDM has like 343 avg and IIRC, the weapon is only like 320 or something like that, whatever the first tier of Eureka is.
If you're in a mix of 345 with a 300 weapon, your tomestones aren't needed elsewhere.

You buy a weapon or consider that alt retired. Especially in the first few weeks of a major patch, there's an incentive to focus.

But if you're on a 300 weapon, you've basically ignored this forever. Suggestion now is to pick a class and stick to it until it's properly done, rather than mix and match over a dozen different roles.

There is something called "having other jobs".

My WHM has a 360 weapon, and is... 355? 356?

But yet there are other jobs I'd like to try in some kind of max-level setting. But yet I need the Tomestones on my WHM as first priority. But you know there are days when I'd like to Q up as a RDM for example. Or maybe my NIN. Or heck, I'd like to get back into tanking, but my PLD is sitting at ~320 because every tank Needs on everything that drops even if they obviously don't need it. I know those 80k+ tanks don't need the 355 junk that drops but they Need on it anyways. sigh.

But anyways, yeah, it's called still needing Mendacity on my Main Job, but yet would like to try out other jobs, because you know, we can change jobs on the fly for a reason and I doubt that reason was "so they can sit unused because of weapon starvation".

Until you can afford to gear out your alts, they're retired. The game goes out of its way, intentionally, to make your life difficult if you decide you want to play everything all at once at cap.

Leave the road to 60 playstyle, where you try to be everything, back at level 60.

A month or two down the road it's not an issue, but you do need to focus for now.
