A dragon should be able to flatten just about any player character. They should all go down in one hit, but they don't. That's not sane. Speaking of which, the speed at which player characters recover is nonsense. If a normal person got attacked they way player characters do in pretty much any dungeon, they'd probably be hospitalized. They'd be recovering for a good while, and that's assuming they survived at all, but instead some dude in a dress can sprinkle some fairy dust on your character and suddenly they're fine. That's not sane.
Hell, let's bring this a bit more in line with what you're talking about, mounts. Mounts just materialize out of thin air the second they're called, regardless of where you left them. They can keep running forever, and they're never affected by anything. They don't get hurt, they don't age, they're never hungry and they don't die. That's hardly sane, is it? If you want to advocate for "sanity", why not go all the way and ask for something like black desert's mount system. You won't see any silly flying dinosaurs there.
I'll admit I'm being a little hyperbolic here, but my point is that what's "sane" to you is tedious to another person. You want mounts to be more realistic? You can do that on your own. Just choose not to fly when you're using a mount that you've arbitrarily decided shouldn't, but don't go around asking for things to be made worse just because it doesn't fit your idea of how things should and shouldn't work in game. Mounts should be given more functionality, not less.
