I dont think scaring or threatening other tanks will really help that much. But you could try copying them and see how that works.
OP - Yeah, sorry you got paired with some jerks. One thing that isnt(and couldnt possibly be) clear from the pic is whether they tried to offer any advice/explain mechanics at all during the fight. If yes, it isnt a bad idea to try to incorporate that new info into your tactics while the fight is ongoing - easier said then done, but in some of these fights the right tactic can mean the difference between an easy clear and a painfully drawn out slugfest.

Now I realized intimidate means something negative, which is definitely not my intention lol (What I meant was to mimic and copy their movements and skill usage)I dont think scaring or threatening other tanks will really help that much. But you could try copying them and see how that works.

If it's not Savage or EX, then I'm going in blind. If you don't want to watch a guide, clear it in the first wave. That's not elitist to expect, that's expecting everyone to do their part.
You don't show up a week late after all of these resources are available and expect someone that's been farming it all week to want to carry. You don't ever show up for a party expecting a carry, no matter what content you're queueing for.
I'm pretty good about figuring it out on the fly, not that any of the normal stuff has been all that difficult.

I wish people were more willing to give actual advice and constructive criticism lol.
Then again I also wish more people in DF were willing to receive advice and constructive criticism.

Honestly, i would agree as well that you should report them all, because this has become a trend lately with elitist folks in the community, that if you don't get mechanics right away or watch youtube guides like they say, they will punish you for no reason, when they literally did it brand new like everyone else and had to learn it, it's become quite toxic and i hope these folks get an example made out of them.

They were terrible and should have booted you without saying anything if they wanted you gone, but I have to admit I wonder just how poorly a run went to see what caused that much mad

If they've been farming it all week...wouldn't they be using the PF? Don't use the DF if you don't want to help/"carry" people who have never done the content. But of course don't go into content expecting to be carried. Do your best to learn. If you don't want to watch a guide, clear it in the first wave. "If you don't want to watch a guide, clear it in the first wave." What?
Also, sadly, it doesn't take much at all to set someone off.
I ran Alphascape 4 for the first time the other day (about 2 days after it was released). I, and a few others, said it was our first run, and a SAM (I forgot their name or I'd totally give them a shout out for being so amazing) began explaining some things to watch out for, what the markers were for, etc. While I'm reading/they're typing, someone else ran in and started the fight without warning. So I stopped reading and started fighting. We ended up wiping. But for some reason, the person who started the fight targeted me, deciding that I was a moron for not knowing which of the 4 markers to put the stack on.
I asked for clarification on some things, but he had already started the next round without letting anyone answer. We wiped again, and the same person goes off on how stupid I am for not remembering whatever "simple mechanic" he never let me read in the first place. He then leaves the party after some colorful language, and takes the two tanks with him. We got replacements, took a moment to communicate, and guess what? We won! Not right away, since the replacements were first timers as well, but. If the guy was so against anyone new, why on earth was he using the DF? Besides, the content was only 2 days old.
I've watched videos beforehand in the past, but to be honest I can catch on pretty quick even if I go in blindly. Granted it might take me a round or 2, but I find it more fun to NOT know every little thing to expect, and have some surprises along the way, because I know others around me are new as well, so we've got nothing to lose. It's a bit sad that a lot of players expect everyone who joins their party to have already had the exciting new content shown to them before ever trying it themselves. Are only the people who show up day 1 allowed the luxury of actually being surprised by the content and actually getting to learn it?
Also, watching a video isn't a 100% safeguard from rude players. Halicarnassus Savage. I watched a video and learned that fight like the back of my hand with practice, but one party I had decided to switch up the markers and fight strategy from literally EVERY SINGLE other party I'd had. Yeah, I died several times. What did they do? Raged at how stupid I was for not understanding they're randomly different approach to the fight.
Sorry for the rant, I just really wanted to share and I don't comment a lot, lol.
