Eureka Pagos discourages people's helpful insticts

Eureka Pagos seems like it was designed to isolate lower leveled folks and higher leveled folks, and discourage people from helping each other. Why? The map design, the level required for mounts, and the reqs for using aethyrite crystals.

I should state, that I am indeed level 35 in Pagos; however, my point still stands. There are some critical flaws that could be improved by several things.

    1) Add at least one more way to get to the top area. It's too much of a hassle for people to get around and level where they would be best suited because of how long it takes to travel.

    2) The upper aetheryte crystals attunement requirement should be lowered to 28. that way people can fight mobs that are at their ideal level. Though the aetherye level req for the magnetic studies is just fine.

3)Chocobos should be usable at a lower level. Especially since the people who would need to use a chocobo the most, are people who CAN'T use the aetherytes!

Doing these things would greatly make it easier for parties to get along. Rather than leaving folks to die alone because it just takes too long for people for traverse the map.

Just delete Eureka. That's the only solution.

I'm about to give up on Eureka all together. I'm a level 23 PLD (or WHM). It takes several days of NM train to put a dent in my xp bar at Enamos. But when I go to Pagos nobody will group with me because I'm below level 25. It's starting to feel like a big waste of time.

Yeah it's annoying because I'd like to help some FC mates in Eureka but the game is punishing if you have too much of a disparity.

And what's it all four? Four or so zones by the end of this, with a unique leveling system, magecite system, all this just for the relics? The story being told here isn't even that interesting, it's being stretched out so that you barely learn anything in Anemos and Pagos because it's a thin plot to serve as a carrot to go to the next zone.

Unlike deep dungeons you can't even use it to level alternate jobs while you're mindlessly grinding away to fill that light kettle over and over. I would have rather had an old style relic where I could at least do what content I wanted to to get the light.

It just feels like a waste of resources when the only reward is a relic. Imagine if the Ivalice raids only existed to give you weapons and had no other loot besides a few bits of glamour pieces. And you had to run each instance 50 times to get the relic.

If SE wants to have a Eureka like system going forward I feel like relics are not enough to justify all the effort put into it. I really hope they drop this experiment and put the resources into something more interesting in 5.0.

Kinda wish I had once I had my dyable AF armor. But I never did the relic in HW or ARR, and starting one of them from scratch feels too daunting for me to motivate myself to do the grind. Soooo I figured I'd do the relic one step at a time in SB.

Anemos wasn't so bad once I got past the first few levels and started picking up momentum, and the challenge logs help now for short term weekly goals. But Pagos' annoying map design combined with excessive light farming is making me regret committing to Pagos. Time will tell if I have the patience for Pyros.

Only help for Pagos is complete annihilation.

Depends how you approach the ARR / HW relics... trying to 'smash it out' is going to feel like a horrible grind, but doing them bit-by-bit, while queuing for duties, etc. or just when you feel like chilling out and cruising around / revisiting the old world and dungeons, you’ll make good progress over time.

And it’s all just glamour anyway, so pick one you like the look of and just start working on it (doesn't matter if it takes you months, or even a year, because unlike Eureka, ARR / HW relics aren't dependant on a critical mass of players).
