    Unable to obtain charater data due to server congestion?

    Ello there!

    I got booted from the game a couple of hours ago, with a random error that i cannot remember, afterwards i have been unable to log in to the game. The only information i get is "Unable to obtain character data due to server congestion." on my character title screen and "World data could not be obtained. Please try logging in later.".

    I currently play on Omega, and there should be no congestion issues on that server, at the same time several friends have logged in without delay.

    Is there anyway i can solve this?

    Adding to the above, he's since also tried creating another character in the same data centre and that worked fine so the problem seems to be limited to the specific character.

    "Unable to obtain character data due to server congestion." usually only means you won't get a picture of the character at the character selection screen, but it won't prevent logins by itself.

    If it's congestion as it says, it may have cleared up by now. Are you still having this issue?

    What time did you try to log in when you received this error? Do you have any other characters where you run into this same issue?

    I've gotta admit, that is some hardcore congestion, since it has persisted for over 48 hours. plus that it's on a server that you haven't listed as congested ever.

    I don't think there is anything that can be done here, as my problem has been "escalated" as the support team puts it. Which I'm sure means something along the lines of it being a problem server side.

    Thank you for your reply, it only took us, so far, 8 E-mails, 3 phone calls, 1 live chat sessions, 2 GM tickets and a forum posts to get thus far. ^_^
