Heaven on high queue times.

Hi. I play on the european server odin, I am in Sweden so I am on GMT +2. I usually play wow but have come back to ff14 after a break.
So it is impossible to queue for Heaven on high in the morning. I have been in queue for 60 minutes as a white mage. I can't get in easily until afternoon and even then queue times are up to 20 minutes. Not until late at night ca 8PM will it be less then 5 minutes queue time. What is the deal? In wow queue times are quick all day and the game is always heavily populated. But ff14 is pretty much dead until night and then till about 6 AM. Are all players from the US? Can someone pls explain this to me? Do I need to switch servers or is duty finder cross realms?

Odin is on the Chaos datacenter for queues and this is mostly only european, and most europeans are working during the day so they will mostly come only after work.
Also there was a big new content patch last week and people are busy doing the new content and have mostly abandoned older side content like Eureka and Heavon on High.

Yeah I was just a bit disappointed since the european server I play on in wow it will always be active. Not all people work all days of the week. Well I guess I will have to adjust simply. I am only doing heaven on high to get Modern Aesthetics - Gyr Abanian Plait. It goes for 3 500 0000 Gil on my server which is to expensive for me thus I am trying to farm it.

Duty Finder takes people that are on the same Data Center. Switching servers won't change anything unless you switch a Data Center as well.
But you said it yourself - you're queueing in the morning. I'm pretty sure a lot of people are either asleep or at work at such times.
Plus with a new patch released recently a lot of people are busy doing new content right now.

Thanx Lumivyory, I wasn't to sure how duty finder works but you explained it so even I understand. Since it matches up people on the same data center then switching servers wont work as you say. Just a bit disappointed about what to do now on my free day XD I will try and catch up the new content as well.

Queuing in the morning is the worst time to do on any game in any world. This is the time when you find the least players on the server. On Chaos this will pick around noon, prime time is afternoon/evening and the it will ebb slowly away.

I don't bother queuing on my free days before 12:00.
