No, this is not a "I WANT VIERA ON FFXIV D8<" thread. HOWEVER! Since those threads have/do exist, I thought I'd share something I literally just noticed. xD





Side-by-side, the female viera model is taller (she's in contrapposto, so she's not at full height /either/) than the male models of Viera.


If male viera are canonly shorter than female viera while being so beastly, that would make my life because viera women are supposed to be amazons and just ugh. UGH! /heart gushes/ ♥

Yep, I know! I was just stating I literally just noticed the height difference now... years later. LOL. If it was a canon thing, I'd be loving it all over the place.

I think it's just been scaled down. If you compare the heads of the males with the female they look a little smaller. Unless SE is planning on making them all ripped shorties with tiny heads.

I think the bigger question here is: what's on their feet? Are those metal thigh highs? How do they put them on without cutting themselves on those edges?
I refuse to accept this as canon until these deep mysteries are answered.

At least with a new job it's always there. If you've leveled everything else or you're looking for some new way to try out the game then there's always a new job to try. New jobs offer new mechanics and different gameplay for content.
With a race it's just a cosmetic feature. You'd just be doing the same things but with the camera angled higher or lower.

An expansion that only presented a new race most likely wouldn't do as well. A new job is something that's always there to try out. If you're only given a race that you'd have absolutely no interest in then you'd essentially be paying $30+ for a fantasia you wouldn't use.

i mean a new race is always there to try out too behind pay wall or not people like to try different races or genders for glamor or make alts etc etc

and if they add a new race it will come with a fantasia just like HW

This. I don't really want Viera, cause I'm not really in the mood to see a crap ton of bunny girls running around in sexy attire....

....but if it means no new jobs? Maybe I'll get behind the 'Veira as a new race' movement....
