The second best way is to find a friend who helps with training. A chocobo can actually be trained two times every hour - by yourself and by one other person. But after you put the chocobo into the stable there is a one hour cooldown on the training for other persons, wich means you can't grind monsters AND train it two times every hour at the same time.

Or just make a 2nd character, have them join your FC, and give them half the food. DIY double-feeding.
