How would an optional, official parser be toxic?

I'd love to hear what these other places are because a huge chunk of the toxicity in WoW I encountered was related to parsers. It may even have been most of it.

Tooling around with the trial version, haven't even touched content. See plenty of rape apologists in trade chat among other gross behaviour.

Rape apologists? Maybe this is a regional issue? I played on the WoW EU servers for over a decade and I have never seen anything like that there. Or maybe you just logged in during the few times this is mentioned. Or maybe things have changed since I last played.

Aside from parser and world pvp drama, all the toxicity I have seen in WoW I have also seen in XIV. Even the novice network on some servers is easily comparable to trade chat in WoW. The reason why XIV appears to have less toxicity is because the game has less tools that make this behaviour easy to do. That's it. It's not because this game has better people.
