    Increased graphic intensity

I usually run everything at 30fps, but latest content starts been taxing for my gpu and latest fights drops my fps to 20 or even lower.

Isn't that we can keep same old pc forever, I know, but not everyone is lucky enough to own a monster rig running 4k 120fps with everything maxed out.

But not complain much, I just got the feeling the upcoming 5.0 will be the time for a good amount of people to ugrade their gaming pc. Start saving now.

Thats the beauty of a PC though - you dont need to buy a whole new maschine, just changing some parts might be enough!

...but yeah, that can be an expensive surprise aswell - my gpu broke a few years ago, I got a new one for about 300€ and my game has been running fine ever since!

I bought a geforce 1080 gtx ftw a few days ago and my framerate went from around 25fps in most Stormblood areas to well over 60fps. I noticed the difference immediately.

The best part of PC is you can swap out individual parts and plug in some extra ram. You don't need dedicated gaming equipment if your not a competitive gamer, a lot of standard gear will do the trick.

GPUs are falling in price since the crypto currency crash and since the new 2k series are on the horizon. But the best thing you can do is to take your time and look around. When I built my gaming rig I only bought the pieces when they were on sale, which happens quite frequently. Just keep an eye on local shops and sites like amazon and newegg. I build a rig for $1700 that would have been well over $2500 at normal price.

Just never, and this should go without saying, buy used parts. Esp GPU, as crypto currency miners burn em out en masse then resell them to get some money back.

This is a myth, the nerves in your eyes fire off much faster than that, upwards of 1/220th of a second. Air force pilots have been tested at that rate. I myself notice a HUGE difference between 40 FPS and 6 FPS. It also depends on the type of screen your looking at, 24 FPS on a movie screen vs 60 FPS on an LED screen are 2 entirely different things.

You don't need a monster pc to run this game at 60 fps. I built 2 for friends at 800 each. Even just upgrading your gpu to a gtx 1060, which is like 250 would be a huge improvement.

We do. I just got a new computer so it's running 58-60 FPS regularly. Then one afternoon things started feeling a little weird visually while I was in the yard at my house. I checked and my FPS was bouncing around between 45-48.

Suspect the assumption that we can't notice differences beyond that number came from back when technology couldn't reliably push FPS past that number.

You say it like 800 is nothing.
Not everyone has the same currency and not everyone has this amount of money. If a PC costs more than 300 it's a monster PC to me because it's expensive.
Pretty sure I'm not the only one not able to afford that, OP could also be one of us.

And to OP - I also struggle a lot lately with some FPS drops. And for some reason housing areas are now taking ages to load, I even stopped teleporting to my house much.

The human eye can see above 24fps. This silly forum troll is going to derail this whole conversation, lol. The probably with gaming at 24 fps isn't that it's 24fps. It's that frames tend to spike. So if you're at 24 and you spike down to 14, or up to 34--you'll notice it. And that whiplash will cause eye fatigue. Where as if you're gaming at 60 fps and drop down to 50 or up to 70--you'll notice it a lot less.

    ----

Having not noticed anything change on my end. I find that it would be weird for Square-Enix to push any graphical enhancements knowing that the PS4's limitations are static. They're constantly catering to that crutch out outdated technology. Which in a way allows people with older computers to still enjoy the game. But the bottom line is that any changes should affect both platforms, and if half their playerbase is on the PS4--they won't want to nuke all of their frame rates, so it might be something on your end as well.
