Dearest Nael,
My heart aches for you. I can only sit in silent pain as I ponder our last meeting. When you killed the rest of my party, I knew you weren't doing it out of anger, or spite, or hatred. I knew you were doing it out of love. You wanted me alone, so that we could talk about feelings, movies, and our top ten favorite bands. But, alas, those silly interloping adventurers challenged our love. When I confessed my feelings, they all laughed at me. They said our love was wrong...then why, why oh gods did it feel so right when your hands wrapped around my neck and you screamed “Die! Foolish adventurer! Your land shall soon be mine!” Those words....I thought they had deeper meaning and they do! Yes, yes oh yes! I will marry you! Oh Nael, Nael, Nael...How I sit and whisper your name to my tear-soaked pillow: Nael van Darnus... And me, the spouse of a Legatus! Though our countries may be enemies we are classic “star-struck lovers!” Like Romeo and Juliet....Hopefully with no mutual suicide this time. No matter what my Grand Company mates say (“treason,” they call our love) I'm making my way to you now, Nael. I have packed my Chocobo with all of my necessary supplies, including my collection of decorative rabbit figurines that I know you enjoyed hearing so much about as you were love-choking me. I wrote you a little something.....

Nael
My heart bleeds like a dragon that was stabbed by a knife made of sadness
Black darkness overshadows the night of our separation
My eyes cry blood onto this letter
My soul is nothing more than a dark angry pit.
Forget you, Mom, I'll move out if I want to.

Until we next meet, my snuggly Nael,
yours,
Caleb Tonk
