What's the point of a party in Leap of Faith?

Tried doing a party with my EB. At first we thought maybe the trophy points stack (obvious reason to party up), but they don't.

Then we thought maybe if one person gets the goal and the other doesn't, that'll count for both?

So... what's the point of being able to party? Why isn't this just a solo instance so I don't have to have a plethora of other characters blocking my near handicapped camera angles?

While I dont see the point in being able to party, I'd guess that they were worried that to many solo instances would crash the server here (assuming, probably wrongfully, that everyone would only do this from now on). Or maybe they thought this would be more fun with a bunch of people around who can /cheer you on or /laugh at your downfall?

Umm... communication. The same reason for forming a party out in the world. If I'm doing the gate with some people, they might see trophies I didn't, and vice versa. Plus it's fun to be with your friends.

Fairly certain it's so you can do it with friends. You don't have to party up if you don't want to. There will still be other players in the instance even if you enter solo.

I'm speculating, but if the GATE can be broken up into multiple instances for purposes of minimizing and balancing server load, forming a party could be used to ensure that you and your friends all go to the same instance of the GATE.

For practical purposes, it does not matter, but subjectively, I like to stick together with my friends.
