I am getting tired of the BLM "Buffs"

Another tier where im told to go rdm/smn if i want to progress, another tier where my personal achievements and how far ive come with BLM do not matter to any group and only my class matters due to Resurrections.

Ive gotten tired of getting "buffs" every patch that do not solve the core problem of the class which is its complete unviability during progression.

Even the best BLMs in the world(not me) go to other classes to progress, its getting ridiculous, how much dps i deal doesnt matter if the group doesnt see more of the mechanics because of it, or if the DPS checks are non-issues in and of themselves.

Every damn tier its the exact same story and this has been happening since heavensward.

As a black mage main im getting tired, please SE, fix this, idc what you do as long as you dont kill our identity as a class.

An idea ive seen thrown around is to limit the amount of resurrections a party can do in savage to 3 to reduce their overall power and availability while still retaining their value, and you can still delegate the job to rdm/smn if you want to save healer mana, but the demand for rez jobs will drop and new classes can begin taking their place.

Just do anything, idc, just let me be viable and let me be taken for what i am for one tier.

i wish se would remove rezz from all dps classes but then most grps will just go full physical dps

Eh, it's not so bad. I've progged savage as blm throughout SB without any issue. The recent nerf to smn and buff to our output makes blm more a consideration for carrying dps checks this tier as well. That buff was about a 300 dps boost with last tier's ilevel. That gap will only increase with the new gear.

If you're good enough at a job, groups don't really mind as much what it is. The smn/rdm raise slave position is only a huge deal for the first few days when everyone is going blind.

Of course, maybe the general population opinions differ on different data centers.

In my datacenter ive been met with radio silence, no group wants to take me for what i am, ive been trying to find a static for 4.4 for weeks and havent been able to as a black mage, is it because i want a week 4-6 clear? I dont have a clue

But things for me certainly arent as smooth as everyone elses here.

Week 4-6 is pretty late tbh. I'd go look for recruitment posts on the balance if you haven't already.

you should be fine finding somebody. If you post a recruitment in the recruitment channel there, be sure to link that. It seems like its mostly blm's who don't have a good performance history who struggle to get into statics (which kind of sucks, but its just the nature of this job and the skill gap it has for a pure dps type job).

A note for OP, depending on the group you're trying to join hiding your logs looks a lot worse than having bad, or no logs. When I fill empty slots in my static I normally go for people I know can learn and be consistent even if their logs aren't that good, but them being hidden is usually a sign that something is weird, or that they're probably not going to jive with the group. Hidden logs can mean anything from embarrassment to aggressively antagonistic when it comes to accepting criticism or help or direction. It's better to head off that impression from the start.

If you deleted those because you uploaded them -- and I'm not saying you did -- and you wanted to save yourself from maybe getting attention from GMs;

They don't care, you don't need to hide it lol.

Old post but, i killed o10s week one, had 10% something, got frustrated and hid them for a bit out of frustration, they're back up(a long time ago).

But basically what Zerathor is saying is true, you can keep uptime in all fights if you're good enough, the issue isnt the class being difficult or losing dps during movement, the issue is the sheer power of ressurects during progression, thats what phasing us out of most statics.

I switched to BLM main this tier and so far I haven't been told once to play SMN or RDM.

Sure it's nice to have a RDM for progress, but once people get more familiar with the mechanics the demand for Casters to play RDM will decrease.

While the lack of mobility work arounds in some form is frustrating, I wouldn't say that the buffs do nothing to help make it more viable.
If it's dealing more damage all round, then it's more forgiving to your dps when you trip up on enochian due to mechanics.
