Please fix the Chaos data center this is getting ridiculous

Constant lag spikes throughout the year and now the servers are going down for half the playerbase during prime time, I've lost 2 raid days this week because of this and it's beyond frustrating.
How is it acceptable for one of the biggest MMO's out there to have such a bad and unstable infrastructure?

It is not just 2 days that people get booted from the servers. Do you know whats the difference between a f2p game and a p2p game? Hint: people PAY money to have access to the p2p game, so don't start with "go on a f2p game and see what happens".
Its not new that the chaos dc has issues but as long as people keep their mouth shut nothing will happen.

I didn't saw so unstable infrastructure in f2ptitle ( i'm talking about big ones ) like in Chaos Data Center. Like u said "Spike lag for year" in p2p title is unacceptable.
Everyone has limits of endurance. OP probably crossed his and rightly so.

I've had less connection issues on multiple f2p games I've played in the past. But good job white knighting

At this point this isn't funny anymore. I work in the IT and the symptoms of the problems seem to be either the servers being overwhelmed by the amount of players on it. Or the backend that they use is dated. A few months ago the servers had crashed and they needed to replace the network hardware cause apparently it got cooked up. I guess the question we need to ask Square is if the EU server got upgraded during SB like the US servers... More importantly why are we having these constant spikes since 4.4 during suzano you can easily identify the server having hic ups.

Having server hang ups like these ruin the gaming experience. Can there be a serious inquiry on what is going on? its very simple to see the problem just do suzano and enjoy the DDR stage. the balls will hang in the middle and suddenly race forward to you. A good indication of lag/server slow down.

These network hangs from the past week seem to illustrate there is something else going on.

Now would be a brilliant time for Square to start working on a second EU server if they haven't already. It's ALWAYS Chaos! Considering how many people play this game in the EU, you'd think they'd put more effort into taking good care of it. The EU is large enough to warrant a second server, especially if NA can have two! As everyone's rightly stated, we PAY to PLAY this game! This lagging is horrid, and makes me wonder if it will be a good investment to renew my subscription when it ends this month.

I would really like to see a post from Square Enix what the issues are with the EU server. Is it poor quality hardware, software, or the people working there. I hate when companies remain quiet about issues.


Having proper servers for a online MMO should be their highest priority and not skimp on price :/

Honestly, lag seems to be widespread. I'm on Aether and my static had some horrible lag issues despite the supposed fixes they did. I wouldn't be surprised if the recent maintenance is the culprit. Lag is usually at its worst whenever they turn off the servers for a while.
