Disconnects every 2 hours, error 90002

    Things I have tried:
    -Reinstalling the game
-Switching to wireless connection (am wired)
-Port forwarding all the recommend ports from previous threads concerning the same error issue
-Disabling scanning of ports on my router's setting
    - Going back to an older firmware setting my router as well as newer
-Clearing Internet Explorer's cache and lowering all security settings to its minimum
-Keeping multiple game's open and connected, seeing if they would disconnect as well (Only disconnect from XIV)
-Changing my wired connected port on my router
-Conducting ping and packet loss tests to see if I am losing packets
The only thing that has worked for me is connecting to the game through my phone's 4g connection. That needless to say I can't do constantly with limited data as well as it being a poor connection compared to my mainline connection which is 100 down and 20 up.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I have a roomate that has the same issue. This has been a problem since patch 4.4, we are both on Primal Datacenter on Ultros.

Good afternoon OdoriTsuki and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

If it works fine with your phone's connection, then you may be having some issue with your mainline connection. Likely, you are running into a difficult area along your route to the servers, which might explain why you don't run into issues with other games (those would take you along a different route to a different server). Have you contacted your ISP about this issue?

I do have a few questions about your disconnections, however:

When did this start happening? Did anything update/change on your PC that coincides with this?

Where in-game does this happen? Do you notice a pattern (Only in combat, only when teleporting, etc.)?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

It started happening around the time of the 4.4 patch. I don't remember if it happened before it, but this has been a recent thing and it's been extremely annoying to my raid group during progression. As far as I know, I did not do any PC updates, I have my windows firewall disabled as well. As for where in game does this happen, it happens anywhere. Inside instances, inside my house, out in cities, or out in the field. The constant that it always happens every two hours.

Thank you for the update OdoriTsuki.

You mentioned you conducted a packet loss test. What were the results of that?

If it is happening on multiple devices (you mentioned your roommate has the same issue), it may be something to do with your connection and how you are routed to the server. I don't think you mentioned it in your last post but did you contact your ISP?

Just in case, you might want to try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

Yes, I contacted my ISP and they basically said it was on my end. However, I think I have resolved the issue by going into the Windows Firewall Advanced settings and editing in the incoming and outgoing rules for each instance of FFXIV. The firewall had been disabled completely, but editing the properties of each rule under the advanced tab to the following changes seems to have fixed it:
-Checking Domain so that Domain, Private, and Public are checked
-Changing the edge Traversal dropdown menu option to allow edge traversal (Previously defaulted at block).
So far I have been connected to the game for three hours with no disconnects, I will post again tomorrow seeing if the issue is completely resolved. If not, I will attempt the option you have provided as well.

EDIT: Problem is still reoccuring again, every 2 hours after connecting to any of XIV's game servers I get Error 9002. I have also done your suggested advice and disabled startup programs and restarted my computer after.

Thank you for the update OdoriTsuki. I'm sorry that the troubleshooting hasn't been helping.

It sounds like you are hitting some sort of congestion along your route (some place between you and the server). Unfortunately, all of our suggestions (which you have already attempted) involves adjusting settings with your home network and it's possible that your issue lies beyond that.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
