At the moment you can't buy the old Creation gear for glamours, as they seem to still require Creation tombstones. This might just be an oversight at the moment, I hope.

I’m doing a lot of guessing here because I wasn’t around for HW endgame, but...

The i200 relic gear is bought with hunt seals from the inn at Ishgard. I understand these were originally tomestone gear? And I’m guessing they might have been originally sold in Idyllshire? (...i think I’ve just worked out why you buy and upgrade those in two different cities.)

If so, I’m assuming that would make [first tomestone gear tier] shifted from the endgame hub shop to the Centurio vendor once they were outdated, then the two further tiers remained at the endgame shop for poetics.

Which would mean it’s exactly the same thing that’s just happened now to the first-tier SB tome gear - except they’ve put a vendor in the same city this time.

All that said, I don’t think they’re supposed to be selling Creation tokens at Idyllshire and it might be an error. They only seem to sell the tokens relevant to what’s purchased at that location - Lv50 weapons at Revenant’s Toll, Lv60 at Idyllshire. Creation tokens should be sold at Rhalgr’s Reach because that’s where you trade them in. Are they selling there as well or did they somehow get placed at the wrong shop?

Then again, it could be to do with shop currencies. Probably everything in a shop list has to be one currency, I don’t think any of the shops at the Reach accept poetics yet, do they? So maybe they just get put in the other location temporarily until they can be moved to the more appropriate shop.

Also I thought they still had a Creation purchase list when I was looking at the new gear? You can’t get the tomes any more but maybe you can still spend them for now.

Yes the npc still at least of yesterday had a Creation purchase list. You can spend them, but a lot of people turn them in at the exchange. That and there isn't a whole lot you can get for 2k tomes that you can't get more of. Also yes the things like the daystar set and the other sets you can buy with hunt seals in HW were older tome sets. I went and bought Scripture tokens today and yes Creation tokens were still there.

The sets in HW are a little unique, and I can explain a bit later. But from the final two sets in HW, the Primal gear and the Shire gear, both of which are available at Idyllshire. The Creation/Lost Allagan gear is on equal footing with the Primal gear. That's the main reason I said if it was following the same pattern, it would stay in Rhalgr's. It's on par with the Relic II Gear actually, T.T my bad.

Okay so here is the breakdown/pattern, I came in in 2.3 so anything prior is slight speculation. most of these gear sets were once sold at the vendor but changed to somewhere else when a new tomestone was released.

Philosophy - Darklight Gear: Bought from vendor, ilevel 70, moved to Brayflox's Longstop (Hard), Halatali (Hard) and The Lost City of Amdapor as a dungeon drop
Mythology - Artifact Gear: Bought from vendor, ilevel 90, moved to an alternative vendor who will exchange the left side pieces for items dropped from Snowcloak, Sastasha (Hard), The Sunken Temple of Qarn (Hard); accessories are dropped in these dungeons as well
Soldiery - Weathered Armor: Bought from vendor, ilevel 100, moved to Allied Seals vendor at the Grand Company barracks.
Poetics - Ironworks Gear: Bought from vendor, ilevel 120, have not been moved

Law - Yasha Gear - Bought from vendor, ilevel 170, moved to an alternative vendor who will exchange pieces for Centurio Seals
Esoterics - Relic Gear II: Bought from vendor, ilevel 200, moved to an alternative vendor who will exchange pieces for Centurio Seals
Lore - Primal Gear: Bought from vendor, ilevel 230, still at same vendor but purchased with Poetics
Scripture - Shire Gear: Bought from vendor, ilevel 260, still at same vendor but purchased with Poetics

Mendacity -Ryumyaku Gear: Bought from vendor, ilevel 360, currently still at the same vendor.
Genesis - ???? Gear: Bought from vendor, ilevel 390, just released

You can see that SB follows the ARR pattern better than HW. But the last 2 sets in HW are both still at their original vendor, just bought with a different tomestone. And by setting this all up I see that I was off a tomestone so Creation gear might get moved, but they may still keep it. The main issue is it can't be bought at the moment.

I was forgetting about the Yasha / Ala Mhigan gear sets when I called the Lv60 Relic / Lost Allagan sets "first tier", but I was thinking of them in regards to how the upgrade items are bought using coin tokens from the alliance raids. Those are both bought with a single coin from the first raid, so I was thinking of them as first tier.

Where did the Yasha / Ala Mhigan upgrade items come from?

Yasha upgrade items were bought with Centurio seals (and maybe Law tomestones as well, I am not sure).

Ala Mhigan gear cannot be upgraded.
