I sure had problem with Hien dying. Would not dodge any of aoe's or help out with adds. Sure had very hard time trying to heal him since would let me hardly target him kept going to guy he was fighting. It was very poorly set out. First they should made second battle where if failed didn't have to start all over again and sure never saw any echo helping me out in it. Before the battle they should warned you that have to play another person during it. Forcing you to play a npc that you hate is uncalled for. Least let you pick between the true who want to control.

What's uncalled for is the massive amount of sheer whining people seem to have about content that won't even last you an hour of your entire time in this game in its entirety.

I'll give people a pass if they've never played a support role in this game and ever had to target someone else to support them... as rare as I feel that may be. But to anyone that has an ounce of an idea on how to play this game then Hien should not be dying, at all. There's an instance or two where he gets knocked low and then hit hard afterward but it's 2 heals and he's topped off. Are people telling me they cannot press 2 buttons?

I enjoyed the instance. Is it seriously that difficult for some of you to do the same?

...that sounds more like your issue was that you had to control an NPC you dont like for all of 5-10 minutes... Considering that you have all jobs at 70 (including WHM and both other healers), I find it difficult to believe that you have absolutly no clue what to do with the 4 (!) buttons they gave you as Y'shtola.
And they do warn and inform you at the start of the battle that you'll be playing as Y'shtola now? Or am I missremebering getting a notification like that in my chatbox at the start of the Y'shtola fight?

I agree to splitting the two duties and I think it would be nice if they'd be giving us some prep-time - maybe a minute where you can look at the skills and rearrange them if you like, but thats about it...

So now I'm not even sure if you're upset because the game made you play a character you dont like - which would be a stupid reason to take this nice new feature away! - or because 4 buttons and having to target something else but an enemy is to much skill-requesting for you - in which case I'd like to repeat that we need more skill-gates for people who fail at extreme basics of the game, not less...

I don't understand. I absolutely slaughtered Sadu even with all her revives and I'm just an averagely average SAM player. With how boastful she is, it felt good putting her in her place.

Meanwhile Y'shtola is freakin broken as far as healers go. Her crits are STUPID and her mana refresh is practically a full reset. Furthermore Hien's Midare just up and DELETES the other guy.

I wish I could watch these people play. I just can't comprehend any kind of strugge here

I had trouble and had to do Sadu three times due to the meteor. I was on Red Mage, and I'm not the best. Finally got her on the third try - sometimes ignoring everything and going ham is the only way.


And Y'shtola was so broken. I want to play her more!

Yeah on my first character I ended up finally getting past that part on the third try too, but when I did it on my alt aa the same job but a much lower item level, I managed the whole thing no problem no sweat on the first go. I think my problem was that for some reason I thought you had to kill all the adds, and ran like one gcd short of finishing her off before time up. I finally decided against that with the second character and it was a breeze.

I had this problem too - it's not about skill so much as it's about skills being suited to the fight. RDM has 3 instants (not counting melee, which does nothing if you don't have your mana built up) so the last phase is particularly difficult when you're forced to stand in one place for long enough to get a cast off which means being hit by an aoe.

Not a fault of the fight, just of knowing that's what's coming; I saved all of my instants and my melee combo for her last phase and obliterated her but I had to know when it was coming first.

Y'shtola's non-crit heals almost completely filled Hien's bar, lol. There's no way to fail that fight unless you don't know what the mechanics mean and even that is... well, you've had 70 levels and at least one required dungeon that has the "destroy things to give yourself a place to stand" mechanic. Several class fights, too.

This instance wasn't dfficult at all.
I'm usually someone who has problems with these solo instances, but i cleared this one first try as BLM.
In the first phase all you have to do is kill adds and dodge some aoes. Now I don't know if this might be more difficult on other jobs, but this is something you had to do the past 70 levels, something you have practiced the past 70 levels.
In the second phase you have 4 skills. Even if you have never played WHM before, it's not difficult to remember these 4 skills. Just attack until you feel that Hiens health or yours gets too low, then use your heal.
And if you die, so what, just try it again.
People really need to stop complaining and maybe pay more attention to how their jobs actually work. This game really is not difficult, all you have to do is try and practice.
