Mannequins. Home owners have wanted them for years so they could proudly display gear we've earned in our homes and help make our houses feel even more lived in.

I don't care that there's only one race available at the moment.
I don't mind the fact that I need to remove the gear to make use of it, if anything that's more immersive.
I don't mind the lack of dye, I'll live.
No glamour? No problem either. I'll just put the actually piece on.
That's not what bothers me.

Now, I understand why you'd link objects up for sale to the total number of retainer items on sale...
But why, in God's name, would you do the same for the display only items?
I can have six mannequins in my home.
Even if I want to forgo all the right side gear to display, ignored the belt, and even ignored weapons and only equipped head gear, chests, legs, boots, and gloves.
That's five pieces. On six mannequins.

30 pieces of my retainers already limited market board space, taken by things I'm not even selling, things I don't want to sell, and often things that are bound that I can't even sell period.
If I only had two retainers (I don't, but this is theoretical here), that would perpetually leave me with 10 market board slots at any time.
That is complete garbage and some messed up implementation.

If it's a matter of not wanting us to have more free inventory space, than just let us throw the gear we want to display into our retainers inventory and then display it from there while still keeping it in said inventory. Because making me choose between being able to enjoy a new feature that I've been looking forward to for a while, and continued maximum use of my market board space? Absolute, unadulterated crap.

I don't understand why SE feels this nagging need, time and time again, to make newly implemented systems more complicated than they ever have to be.
