There is a little Monkey in all of us....
Well said.
I'd understand the whole "let's see what the next milestone after X.XX is" argument if what we were discussing was in fact a patch. There's only so much a patch can ever hope to do after all.
When discussing 2.0, a completely new build of the game that comes packed with all the little features XIV should have had at launch as well as plenty of content and a priority on the flexibility to accept add-ons/patches much more readily, this argument utterly fails.
So I'm going to conclude that you, Mamba, just don't comprehend the magnitude to which 2.0 isn't just some mildstone.
...or I can follow FFXIV Forum tradition, and declare that you must be a troll. Often times that's a complement actually. It's acknowledgment that you are actually intelligent, ybut you use that intelligence to get a rise out of people. The alternative is just to unbearable to think of.
Tera, may not be amazing to you. But if you even attempt to compare it to this pile of garbage, words cannot even describe how much better it is than this.
Lol.
There's a reason I made no comparison.
Regardless, Tera is not amazing.
Fooling yourself thinking otherwise.
true
there is no great MMO... never has been... Ultima Online, Everquest, WoW, FFXI, Aion, Eve Online, PSU, Rift, SW:TOR, Age of Conan, Anarchy Online, lineage, guild wars, warhammer, DC Universe, City of..., LOTOR or Ragnarok
Long list.. lots of money made, 10 of millions of subscribers... but not 1 GREAT game... Sorry but no one got it completely right. No one got it "mostly" right.
Some of you are like the nerdy loser with super high standards saving himself for the supermodel
Well I think this mostly spawns from the fact that you are releasing a game to a massive player base for an extended period of time over non-MMO titles. People have experience with them now, quite a bit if you have played anything for a long period of time. Players know what they like and forget that it's not what everyone likes. loltrue

Tera is OK, I might even say good.
I for one am just tired of the same old crap.
I logged into the beta, played a bit. Realized there wasn't much different from other MMO's then logged off.
I'm willing to admit that I stick around with this game because of FFXI, I feel it can be as good, perhaps better if worked on properly. FFXI is where I got most of my MMO experience and joy from. I played Aion, Rift, WoW, EQ and tried tons of F2P titles. They never captivated me like XI. But this is only my opinion.
But see... thats a valid opinion that is well thought out and makes sense....Well I think this mostly spawns from the fact that you are releasing a game to a massive player base for an extended period of time over non-MMO titles. Much easier to take a post like this serious than the alternative....
You know what I mean.
