Thread: FF14 Constantly crashing after 4.4 update

So after some viewing of the forums and investigation I think I may have figured out a solution. I stress think as I am not 100% convinced this is fixed but I am online for longer then i have been before.

So what i did was I went in and cleared the my documents folder for FF14. So before you do this, please keep in mind that doing so will reset your UI to default meaning, no hotbars, no gear sets, no custom UI all that stuff is going bye bye so do yourself a favor and backup before you do this. you can do that by copying your documents folder that can be found her by default: c:\users\*your username*\documents\My Games\FINAL FANSTASY XIV - A Realm reborn. I would copy this entire folder somewhere else to keep it safe. I delete this folder and then launched the game and went through what was required to log back in. Since then I have been stable and playing but I will update if the issue comes back. Now to get your hotbars and stuff back what you can do is inside the folder i listed above you can restore a file that is like FXIV - *a whole bunch of random letters and numbers* this folder should have your character data for any and all characters you play. I would copy them slowly to test if your stable. If you copy something back then have issues its likely that file is corrupt. I hope this information helps and i will update if I see the issue return.

Doing this only now makes it crash during the first loading screen after character select. Constantly.

EDIT: Ah. Seems to have been D11 causing that crash. But on D9.0, I still have originally reported issue.
