    Graphical lag

    I'm having a lag issue that I believe came from graphic or performance issue rather than the internet issue. I have submit ticket and already got help from Square Enix via email and after following their guideline which help fix the lag issue that happen right after I login. But now I am having a lag issue after 5-10 minute interval into the game and keep persisting in every zone I went to. Restarting the game does help at first but after 5-10 minute it came back again.
    Already tried lower the graphic in game to lowest possible from the support I got via email, fixed the problem with laptop using lower graphic chip instead of the graphic card for high performance I got.

    The support email advise me to post new thread in the forum here and provide information as seen below to get further help
    - Location (Country/city): New Zealand/Auckland
    - ISP: Slingshot
    - Bandwidth/connection speed:
    Slingshot Gigantic package 900Mbps download and up to 450Mbps upload.
    Speedtest via Ookla 100mbps download, 230mbps upload
    Speedtest via internetspeedtest.co.nz 200mbps download, 200mbps upload
    - Network equipment
    USB-AC68 Dual Band AC1900 USB 3.0 Wi-Fi Adapter
    This is the equipment that I got the highest rating of speedtest with
    I have try using my laptop built in wireless receptor and LAN Cable CAT6
    LAN CABLE CAT6 would raise my Download to 400 mbps but limit my upload to 1 mbps
    Which probably due to some of my program on my Laptop (tried do speed test on safe mode which seem to fixed the issue that limiting my upload speed, but I do usually run computer on safe mode and when I lived in Thailand with speed test of 30 mbps download and 30 Mbps upload, I still have less lag than this)

    Can you provide the steps that support gave you to attempt a fix? Also, please provide the following information:

    - Platform (PC, PS4, Mac)
    - Are you ever disconnected from the game?
    - Type of connection (wired or wireless)
    - Other programs running while the game is playing (if any)
    - Frequency at which error occurs

    You are connecting to the EU data center, correct? The speed of your connection isn't the only factor, you are further away than where you were in Thailand and it would make sense that the issue came up when you moved (especially if you are using a wireless connection).

    -Once in a long while (not happen everyday)
    -Wireless (which have better result in speed test than wired as suggest in above)
    -Discord (I have two screen which my TV), Google Chrome, Mudlet (Have tried closing all three while running the game, and it still happen).
    Also Kaspersky as anti virus in background (already bypass firewall for FFXIV)
    CC cleaner in the background
    Navidia setting in the background
    -Frequency at which the lag happen? 5-10 minute into the game, restarting the game help but it still happen when 5-10 minute in
    and yes I connect EU but I also have USA server character which also have the same lag
    Like I said when I was in thailand I have notice there's a little lag from the internet(On both EU and US) but not a lag like I'm experiencing right now (On both EU and US)
    If distance is the problem like you said shouldn't I get better connection in US server since I'm closer to that side now? why does the issue persist on both EU and US?

    Also I used wired at first but it give me lag which start the whole contacting my ISP to fix my internet speed and Square Enix in the first place and after several speed test both wired and wireless (of multiple cable and multiple wireless equipment) I'm now using the one that get me the highest result by consider both download and upload as state in above comment

    I also notice that it as FFXIV getting lag it also lag my other program out like discord when I switch screen to my second screen.
    I was advice to try to don't load start up program which I go to System Configuration and uncheck box that say 'Load startup items' in Selective start up off and apply it then try restart
    But when computer restart it revert back to old setting and load my start up as usual (Steam, Kaspersky) which I have no clue why (have try multiple time using either apply or okay but after restart it revert back to normal startup or selective with checkbox on Load startup items still on.
