FF7 is SE's biggest cashcow. There's no way they're just going to restrict it to 4 fights. If we get FF7 content they're going to go the whole shebang and make it an alliance raid series.

There isn't enough material to actualy do something that big with FF VII, the story fit on a pocket tissue. No "legendary place" to explore. Not enough great bosses. At best we'll get a cross-over fate to celebrate the launch of the remake and get ugly looking weapon.

I'm inclined to disagree, the whole Ivalice raid cycle is just two games, FFXII and tactics, whereas the FFVII universe contains more entries than that. I would imagine that we would get Mako reactor, Nibelheim, and Northern Crater, with bosses and story events stretching from the whole franchise.
Not that I want this though, FFVII tech is far too similar to garlean tech, and bosses like guard scorpion have already been used. I'd rather they incorporate the bosses and locations subtly into XIV lore through the garleans.

Ivalice lore is really huge, more than you seems to imagine and have a whole mythology attached to it, so much FF VII can't even compare. There is so much option for the staff to choose as the last ivalician 24 man raid its ridiculous.I'm inclined to disagree, the whole Ivalice raid cycle is just two games, FFXII and tactics, whereas the FFVII universe contains more entries than that. Another garlean themed base crawling would be so lame for a 24 man raid or even a 8 man raid, its already over-used and boring as standard dungeon.

Honestly considering the next expansion is most likely going to be set in Garlemald, I think it's safe to assume the next 8-man raid will be directly tied to it.Ivalice lore is really huge, more than you seems to imagine and have a whole mythology attached to it, so much FF VII can't even compare. I can see them doing something like having them based on the weapons from 7, with you fighting Diamond at the end of the first tier, Ruby at the end of the second and then Emerald at the end of the third one, with original bosses inbetween like in Alexander.
It is quite possible but I'm hoping for some more original content, this raid tier and the 24 man both being direct ports from other games was a little too much. 12 never felt any deeper than any of the other games to me.Honestly considering the next expansion is most likely going to be set in Garlemald, I think it's safe to assume the next 8-man raid will be directly tied to it.
