There was not a single fight I was disappointed in.

HOLY WOW. Chaos! Like I thought he'd just be the starter fight, boring and easy. When my group wiped I was SHOOOOKETH when I noticed he does a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT rotation of moves. Not to mention it's fun and keeps you on your toes.

Middy was probably the weakest fight to me, though that's not to say that it wasn't interesting. I love the visual queues. I'm glad Dragon daddy made his appearance here.

Omega's fight was HYPE. I'm bad with my left and right so the directional thing throws me off and then having to keep track when he spins around OMG. I feel my soul leaving my body. It's a really good fight.

and the last one. The music. The maker's ruin is my favorite XIV song. I love it, so the remix had me hyped. The mechanics are great too.

    Like.

Seriously, not a dull fight. And That's just me talking about the normal mode. Savage looks incredible.

    PS. Omega-M is hott. UNF.

It felt tacked on and rushed. Like they reused the combat and assets from HW. The whole Omega Story line felt like it was just fan service. The ending felt rushed and made no sense. Alexander had more story and threat to the world with its slow moving then Omega.

Agreed. Definitely had a lot of fun when going through the blind runs, because everybody is on the same level more or less. Aside from the whole thing with starboard and larboard (seriously, why is this a thing again?), I enjoyed this tier a lot. On a side note, did anybody else experience some iffy FPS during V12N? It wasn't a major issue, but I definitely noticed a little bit of choppiness in only this fight.

Have you gone into Savage yet? How is it?

Reports are saying it's mainly a PS4 thing and to lower your draw distance settings. I don't have a Pro and it ran fine for me, the instanced area beforehand was a bit choppy though.

I will say one thing about alphascape. It is certainly pretty. O11S and O12S had me in awe of my surroundings more than any raid tier before. I think the last time I felt like that was the ultimate for Thordan.

I do wonder though, is there a savage exclusive part 2 for O12S? Exdeath and Kefka has them, but this is completely different.

I enjoyed it. Seeing people freak out about "Larboard" was amusing.

Having a boss with a beautiful final form is also once again a stark reminder that this is still a JRPG.

With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.

last fight was fun, and quite literally the "final destination" for our battle. Just wish the omega gear looked like what omega m/f was wearing. Really tired of all these tailcoats. Also disappointed in the omega axe since its a re-skin of the ala mighan 310 one. DRK sword is nice though.

The final boss was somewhat dissapointing to me, it was the only one I did that had 0 wipes on. I actually did like the fight but DA11 felt much more like a final raid boss in comparison. Though I do look forward to what Savage version looks like given that unlike ExDeath and Kefka we don't know exactly what to expect in a new version of it. Presuming it does have that second half type of thing.

Of the "normal" raids still like Alexander the best as an ender.

I love how the music in O12 is a mix of Maker's Ruin and Torn From the Heavens, I'm always a sucker for that trope of incorporating the main theme(s) into the final boss music, although it does make me think that it's a bit unsuited for Omega... maybe it's because he's using your own tactics against you but still, I think Omega-M and Omega-F were meant to be something more but I guess they couldn't work it into the story in a good way so they settled on making them another form of Omega.

I liked this send-off for the normal raids in Stormblood. The fights were satisfying and it finally felt like we weren't getting out-of-place fanservice just because. I was not a huge fan of the story line overall but it served it's purpose. As usual Nero was the best part about it.

Maybe I just got lucky with my groups but we only wiped three times in all four fights- once to O10 and twice to O11 (who thought Starborad and Larboard were appropriate terms? I hope everyone involved in approving that to go into Production gets indegestion!)

LOL at wrecking Chaos in the first fight like it's NBD because we're so dead-set on getting to Omega.
