Oh. As far as I'm aware, no. Kind of a Shinryu EX deal.

Oh. As far as I'm aware, no. Kind of a Shinryu EX deal.

I am amazed at Alphascape. I love going on Savage and normal missions, but the story behind these missions never resonated with me. I felt the Alexander missions were quite lacklustre indeed even though Midas was my all time favourite set of missions.
Even Omega Deltascape and Sigmascape had very little effect on me even though final Fantasy VI is my favourite game. It is because the enemies themselves are not as interesting as the story and context which gives them life. Here, they were just placed as an obstacle. Very uninteresting.
Alphascape, however, is totally a story about Omega. We've come to learn the history or Omega over the last two tiers of missions and now, see that story reach its conclusion. I loved visiting Midgardsormr's home and seeing a world overflowing with aether, explaining his immense power, I loved the fast pace and meaning behind Omega and the final Omega battles.
The battles are fun, interesting, fast paced and I did not grow bored at all. Visually they are also extremely pleasing!
But what tied it together was the story of it all. Seeing Alpha's struggles, his growth and maturity as a being with a soul brought a tear to my eyes. I also loved seeing the growth of Omega, and our final conversation with it when unlocking the Savage missions. This tier is just so well done and I think it's strength is that it does not rely on plucking enemies from other games.
The music is another excellent pillar of these battles. The remixed songs are soo unbelievably well done that I feel Soken has ascended even further in skill. They fit perfectly to the battles.
Finally the ending to it all pleases me greatly. Alpha's final wish to embark on adventure with omega is so touching and heartwarming. Watching his with his newly acquired soul running through the world, adventuring and living life to such a beautiful soundtrack was beyond moving.
It all felt like a studio Ghibli movie and perfectly executed.
I am extremely impressed with Alphascape, it is simply beyond amazing~

And just like all amazing content, it will be a chore and stale within a week.

Two first was really good as every other before that said.
Omega ( 011 ) was really good too as a fight but the BGM was AWFUL like really was sick of it instantly.
Omega ( 12 ) havent tried the fight yet. The story part was... *sight* so bad... They really want us to like Alphas but I'd still let him on the side of the road anyday like all the "helper" on every raid until now thinking of it and wow they used the two deus ex machina they prepared the step before to survive (I still can't wrap my head over how the hell it could work) its wasn't amazing at all, its stupid and predictable by 12 years old children and the boss itself... Well its a Wallmart Sephiroth nothing less, nothing more. Disapointed at the point it wil surely make me hate it sooooo much.
By the way, a bit HS but my FC and me really start to think the FFXIV staff really have a kink for dragon and robot, like we fight so much of those its getting ridiculous. I'm putting a bet on a final expansion boss as Zeno in a dragon robot suit.

On O11n I find the DPS check sad on RDM. Even at the closest melee range as possible, if you displace, you die. :[

I do like how every fight has different music
And not ff5/6 plays for first 3
FF1 remix
Midgardsomr boss theme
And 3 unique themes after
Also the cutscenes are so well done
Almost teared up when my character saw Midgardsomr
And that final scene is very heartwarming and cute
Hope we see him again

Omega failed to create the ultimate combat monster, but it was immensely successful at creating breathtakingly beautiful humanoids. The end bosses' design is fantastic. I want the lady's hairstyle.
9 = cool
10 = cool
11 = already? o_O 12 ought to be interesting...
12 = ... the hell is this T-1000 crap?

There was not a single fight I was disappointed in.
HOLY WOW. Chaos! Like I thought he'd just be the starter fight, boring and easy. When my group wiped I was SHOOOOKETH when I noticed he does a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT rotation of moves. Not to mention it's fun and keeps you on your toes.
Middy was probably the weakest fight to me, though that's not to say that it wasn't interesting. I love the visual queues. I'm glad Dragon daddy made his appearance here.
Omega's fight was HYPE. I'm bad with my left and right so the directional thing throws me off and then having to keep track when he spins around OMG. I feel my soul leaving my body. It's a really good fight.
and the last one. The music. The maker's ruin is my favorite XIV song. I love it, so the remix had me hyped. The mechanics are great too.
Like.
Seriously, not a dull fight. And That's just me talking about the normal mode. Savage looks incredible.
PS. Omega-M is hott. UNF.

It felt tacked on and rushed. Like they reused the combat and assets from HW. The whole Omega Story line felt like it was just fan service. The ending felt rushed and made no sense. Alexander had more story and threat to the world with its slow moving then Omega.
