Not yet, the other races will be on sale later.
They're kinda pointless IMO since they can't be glamoured. Zhloe and Kurenai are better mannequins. Maybe we can just invite them to our houses instead.
The point isn't to glamour them the point is to use them to display (and/or sell) gear as it is, like real display mannequins in shops. Maybe some day they'll let us put our retainers inside, but these serve their purpose.
I must've missed the memo that housing wards are supposed to be the market wards from 1.0 and not for decorating.
I get that this is sarcasm, but given that the whole section on the patch notes was about how to sell items from your mannequins (singly or in sets), it is the purpose. I think it'd be awesome to have something that can serve as a customizable NPC as well (seriously, SE, just let us put our retainers inside!) but just because you think something is pointless because it doesn't serve the needs you, as an individual wish that it served doesn't mean it is pointless. You just don't want to use the function it's intended to serve. There are quite a few people who do want to sell from their homes, too.
You're given the option to put the gear on the mannequin solely for display for cosmetic purposes, or to list for sale.
They did say that they're working on a correction so the item you want displayed doesn't have to be on your retainer's MB list if you aren't trying to sell it and that update is expected sooner not later.
It's not unusual for them to implement things in small steps and gradually improve on them. In the meantime, they have had a lot of requests from players wishing they could actually sell items from their houses and this is a first step in answering them. I do wish they would have added an interior Expansion of Duties permit first so we could be using our glamoured retainers for decoration instead (seems like that would have been much simpler to add since they already have it for outdoors) but at least this is something.
Do you know where this was listed? Because as much as I do actually like mannequins in this game ... I can't really lose a retainer sell slot for every single item I place on it just for displayYou're given the option to put the gear on the mannequin solely for display for cosmetic purposes, or to list for sale.

They need to let us place them on table tops.
How can I make a interesting display if they all have to be on the floor!
Have we tested to see whether they can be placed on oriental tables/low tables a la the retainer-placement method?
This whole tabletop v floor item only thing really bothers me, esp when they designate things like the stage as tabletops and not flooring.
