It feels a step back 20 years, even in Secret of Mana your whole party could stay in your inn room ;o

It would be nice if the Inns took on a more human/social aspect, such as friendly npc's arriving unannounced with random quest offers or other random social occasions, similar to Grandia where you dont just stay at the inn you actually sit around a dinner table conversing with npcs. Chuck in the mainstoryline companion and you'd have an interesting way of bonding with your npc (think persona social link system).

An inn by its nature is a more public place. It would have been nice to have a place to invite the whole LS for meetings, roleplay (/gasp) and such (not saying you cant do that in the open world, its just having the option...)

These kind of social aspects help deepen an MMO and have that addictive "gotta catch em all" mentality to push it along.
