Perhaps, do note that this time around Strength increases by 5 from 380 to 400, not sure if its enough to warrant using them over crafted or not. You also forgot to meld +25 Strength to accessories.

I think we're at a point where we can get enough Crit that it will become better than DH. But yeah that's my plan anyway to go for Crit over DH, that way i can also use the set on War.

Can someone please explain to me why the crafted pieces are better than the higher item level ones? I'm seriously trying to get into Savage content this time around and this has always perplexed me. Is not the higher item level piece always going to be better?

Yes the higher item level is better because it has significantly higher amount of Strength except on accessories where the difference is much smaller. However this time around they did add 5 extra Strength on the highest accessories over crafted while last tier it was only 1 point. So while last tier the crafted was significantly better, 5 more strength should push them over the crafted or at least very very close this time around.

Please don't use any crafted gear on your left side! In those cases especially, they were a bad choice.

WAR augmented tome belt is better than the crafted one. More Crit, 31 pts more defense and 15 more STR; even with Ten on it, you would still need to compensate with about 100-150 additional substats on the crafted belt. That's impossible.

PLD boots, don't do that, take Omega ones. You lose 20 STR here (~equal to 200 substats), and SkillSpeed is poisonious to PLD 'cause it doesn't buff Holy Spirit.

These sets are simulated with the "HW Meta" composition. As you'll notice, itemization prevents us from building any effective slow builds. If you find yourself more comfortable and better playing at a slower build, then by all means, go down a few tiers with some gear swaps. Max comfiness and phase transitions are still the key rule when picking speed tiers.
