Omega and the Universe

I think you might be confusing the extradimensional "crystal shards in the aetherial sea" (with Hydaelyn as a vast crystal at the centre) with the physical universe surrounding the Earth-like planet Hydaelyn.

It's not the first time we've seen them do something like that. Nabriales also re-emerged from the body we defeated in the Chrysalis in an identical form.

If you want to get nit-picky, Nabrieles never showed his face. At any given time, we just know there's a body with a hood and mask on.

so I was wondering consideringt what happened

if someonw completes 4.4 MSQ without ever unlocking coil or EX primals in ARR....... is he locked out of them until 4.5?
Also maybe this probably leads to matoya coming back in 4.5 to fix Y'sthola and the scions now that I think about it

Titus? He's dead as a door nail... that's for certain, and its not just the scenes in the video of Varis' introduction in patch 2.3 or 2.4. Several facts confirm this and Regula coins it perfectly when he stated that the War of succession was "bloody". Let's be honest, Varis is not the type of man to take prisoners for stakes that are so very high.

Besides, the most recent reveal that Titus orchestrated an assassination attempt on Zenos' life is enough justification for Varis to kill him... he may not have feelings for his son but he is sure is proud enough to establish a firm "show" of retribution

I'd wondered the other day if it could be Elidibus's voice - have we heard him speak in his true form? - but dismissed it because he's busy elsewhere now! But this has me wondering again, since he and 'the speaker' are both Tactics references.

See the Heavensward post-credits stinger where the WoD are introduced. Not sure about the English, but in Japanese he's voiced by Akira Ishida, and that definitely wasn't him.

MSQ Thoughts now that I finally finished it.

Not a fan of the Solus reveal AT ALL. I know that Zenos being a monster was an overcorrection for people who sided with Gaius but did they have to go THIS far? I liked the Empire more as an organization with a good goal but bad means of pursuing it. This is just too much. At least Varis is still potentially interesting but I have a feeling he'l become an ally against the ascians, or assassinated for Elidibus!Zenos to take the throne.

Still I'll take this over the Yotsuyu/Asahi debacle, 4.2 and 4.3 were low points for me story wise.

Something about what comes next

It is just me or they are setting up a siege of Ala Mhigo trial by next patch? We've cut off Garlean way to Doma and Zenolidubus has said that he just wait the words of the emperor to bring the empire's migth to bear against Ala mhigo + the whole alliance stuff. Coupled by what u/ tormenteddragon said about the fact that we are yet missing a fight using revolutions as a theme song ( ARR had bahamut prime with answers and HW had nidhogg with dragonsong) It does make me think that we'll get that in 4.5 or 4.55 as a spark for the coming war in the next expansion

MSQ thoughts

So I'm guessing ElZeno is going to end up saving us from our favorite Emissary, after that whole "Let me at them!" line he gave... Sure seems eager to off us now... I look forward to the true Zenos getting his scheduled heroic redemption and/or sacrifice when we face off against Elidiboo...

Solus was an Ascian all along? Yeah OK. Varis certainly got a whole lot more interesting, and it puts his sparse appearances in Heavensward in a new light, as well as Regulas' parting words.

I don't buy Alphi's new friend being Gaius though... He probably is, but I'd be more interested in a friend/sibling/relation to Gaius... House Baelsar (and associates) probably didn't fare too well after Gaius went rogue and failed... I could see a brother or son being forced out of country and ending up wandering... Going to Praetorium to get that mask fragment, maybe learning the truth behind what happened to Gaius (Ascians dun it) and resolving to hunt them... It would hit the same reasons for why it has to be Gaius IMO... Then again we've already had the "It's their sibling!" card played with Livia/Lucia...

Speaking of Gaius though... When exactly does Solus mean when he comments that Lahabrea messed up? My first assumption was when he literally got himself killed (or not! #LahabreaStillLives), but thinking back on it... Since the beginning? IIRC Solus was against Gaius going back to Eorzea after Project Meteor, and its Lahabrea that was backing Gaius during that time...

Jokes aside (or not, you be the judge), Lahabrea still lives! He was absorbed by the Eye of Nidhogg, the Eye was used to summon Shinryu, Shinryu was body-jacked by Zenos, faint Lahabrea-ness now in Zenos. Elidibus now gets in Zenos, Lahabrea starts to merge with him as he did with Igeyorhm! Elidibus now starting to show more aggression towards the Warrior of Light to boot! I've been gone for over a year, but I'll be damned if I'll ever stop believing that Lahabrea lives!
