Could we please have useful housing items

Examples of what needs to be changed:
    - Beds I can't sleep in to log out. Further, when I log back in, I discover I have been unceremoniously booted from my apartment. A free stay at the Inn offers way more conveniences and courtesy than my 500,000 gil apartment!

    - Crafting Benches that are worthless. The supposed Level 50 recipe has enormous requirements AND the bench is worthless after you hit Level 60 AND it provides a MISERABLE +10 CP bonus.
10 Crafting Points is simply not worth it compared to (a) the crafting stat requirements, (b) time/cost in acquiring the crafting materials, and (c) having to go to my housing every time I want to use it.
Instead of a 10 CP bonus, how about the bench reducing the effective level of any recipe by 10 levels. Or removing one star from star-difficulty recipes? And please remove the silly useless-after-you-are-level-60 limitation. As it stands now I probably need to be Level 60 just to craft the thing.

    - "Storage" items that don't store anything.

    - Basic utilities like Summoning Bells that require mind-boggling amounts of crafting skill.

As it is, I might as well not even get Housing and just use the Inns where I get a lovely, fully-stocked, much-more-easily-accessible, very conveniently located, headquarters.

Your apartment/house are instances that are coded to work differently than an inn room instance. They aren't loaded in when you aren't in them so that's why you appear outside when you log out inside.

I would hope by the time you reach level 60 in crafting you would know how to do it so that you would not need to rely on the benches. they're really only there as a stepping stone. You want it to reduce a recipe by 10 levels? Waaaay too OP. That would blow Ingenuity II out of the water. Not gonna happen.

Actualy DrWho2010... they allow a lot of crafting macro's that make even a noob OP so I don't see why not so nerdy players that don't understand macro's shouldn't get a similar performance boost.
While I agree that it isn't SE's task to waste time on building more furniture options, I do see MetrotownSimon's point when he requests the stats on allready excisting furniture to be "upgraded" to the point where it becomes worthy of being in Stormblood.
Upgrading it to +30 CP on that end isn't too much to ask in my opinion, basicly +10 for every expansion

Crafting stations may not be useful to a maxed out crafter, and if you are able to craft them yourself you pretty much don't need them.

However, crafting stations placed in an FC house can be very useful since they can be used by all low level crafters in the FC - and for them it will make a real difference.

Crafting stations have been improved a couple of times actually. Originally they only provided the bonus up to level 40. Then after Heavensward was released they were upgraded to work up to level 50, and with the release of Stormblood up to level 60.
In short they are not supposed to help high level crafters, but are useful when leveling crafters.

How are they usefull now? I used them as low level a few times and still couldn't do it so I just started concentrating on updating my armor every few lvls through cheap NPC's and since then I never used the crafting stations again.
Trust me, even for low lvls they are useless.

I have yet to use Ingenuity in my rotation because everything else is more clearly useful.
In any case, there are all sorts of other options to make the bench useful. How about reducing the Craftsmanship / Control requirements on Starred recipes? Or +5 Durability on whatever item we are working on?
