    Boot error [30605] [504]

    Tried starting the game up today and was getting a boot error [30605] [504]. Thing was it was working fine last night when I played last. Computer didn't have any recent update to OS since last week.

    I tried turning off antivirus etc and checked my task managers and unistalled any recent programs. Nothing is working and really don't want have to reinstall unless as a last resort.

    Unable to complete version check [30605][504]

    I am getting the error listed above.

    I was able to connect yesterday, and none of my security settings or other system settings have been changed.

    I've reset both my router and my computer system, and confirmed I'm able to navigate to both this site and others.

    None of the security settings on the router hardware have been changed since I was able to successfully connect.

    The game is offline for maintenance and patch 4.4.

    Also, yesterday and before, when you logged into the game, you got a pop-up screen that had all of the info on the downtime, which is happening now until around 3:00AM PDT 9/18

    Well, it would seem I was looking at the Lodestone notice times instead of the All Worlds notice, which is why I thought it was outside the timeframe of the update.

    I see that the patch started at 3 AM my time today, and will continue into tomorrow - thanks for catching that! I thought it might be the case, and checked the notices, but I was clearly checking the wrong one!

    Kind of sucks that no one in the customer support/community support team thought to update the FF14 steam news feed with this info. I got the error googled it and the response was to try a bunch of stuff and if that doesn't work re install. I uninstalled and now I'm going to have to waste my available play time tomorrow to redownload the game as I can't get on the launcher to redownload tonight

    It sucks but that's why you should visit the lodestone regularly.
