Apologies for the delay in sharing a response regarding this matter.

From our investigations, we have not found cases where housing demolition warning emails were not sent to users who were approaching an estate demolition deadline. To ensure that important notifications such as these are received, we ask you to confirm that your email address is up to date in your Square Enix account settings.

However, if you feel there was an issue regarding your estate being demolished erroneously then it is imperative that you submit a detailed bug report (either via the official forum, (NA) Support Center/(EU) Support Centre, or an in-game GM call) so that the team can do a thorough investigation. We would need information from those affected directly to ensure we gather as much pertinent information as possible.

This is from the last housing-panic-thread. Unless I've missed something, they looked into the matter, couldnt confirm a bug and are asking everyone to post their reports so they can investigate those case by case (Thats at least what they said in a follow up post in that thread).

So... unless there is any new information, I concluded that the whole "losing house because of a bug"-thing is a hoax, either designed to frighten people or because someone didnt understand that they had to walk into their house (and not only step into the garden) and is now trying to blame it on a bug.

Again: Timer is annoying, but necessary and working - both to free houses and correctly as in: not demoliting houses before the 45 day mark. Thats what I gathered - until someone brings me actual evidence that there is a bug.

Or possibly just didn’t have their email up to date, as the official reply mentions that as something to check. Not a bad suggestion in any case, of course.

I go to my house quite often because I take great pride in decorating it how I want it to full of Moogle stuff and other things here and there (with an obligatory Kupo in the end sentence.)

I don't take things for granted when I earn them. I sure as Heaven and Hell don't squander opportunities when they are presented to me.

At the end of the day, housing is a privilege, not a right. I go and visit my house once in a while because I love to hang out in there sometimes and keep it too.

I have yet to see anyone speak of this "bug" on Mateus, in novice network or elsewhere, other than in the context of the reddit post full of hearsay.

What I know from that thread is that of the "dozens of people who shouldn't have lost their houses" there were like 2 actual bug reports filed, maybe.

This is strictly people not understanding how the system works, and blaming a bug for them not entering their houses or checking the timers menu.

Discord is not the forums, nor is there a screenshot of a GM post, or message or any evidence of this happening other than "someone who claims they were in their house 6 days ago"

Then tell those people to actually make a proper bug-report so their cases can be investigated. As it stands now, they did their investigation and found nothing - so why should they do anything?
Because someones saying they know someone who has been told from a friend that...? Really?

Plenty of people? How many is "plenty"? Is this like 1 person, or 20, or 200?


Do we have screenshots, or bug reports? Is this people coming back from long hiatus' who came back to not having a house? Is this people who only went to gardens, or their plot itself, and never entered?

Sorry, thats someone saying that a GM confirmed that - not a GM confirming that.

If I post a message saying that the GMs investigated this stuff and couldnt find a bug in my FCs discord and then post a picture of it here, will you believe me that this isnt happening?
Or is it enough that a GM actually said that there is no bug, here on the forums? (See the post I quoted earlier)

Again: Encourage everyone you know off who had that happening to them to post a bug-report here so they can investigate the case.
But a random discord-message with someone claiming that a GM confirmed something to them isnt proof of anything.
