I hope the crystal tower will be an actual landmark and not some lame Aetherite or a NPC that just teleports you into it. . . Toto-Rak and Darkhold did it borderline well enough I suppose. They're both actual dungeons to which you have to travel and then register for entering at the NPC. I said 'borderline' because they don't stand out at all in the world from any other generic hole in the ground >.> (adding some runes or whatever carved into the rock on the outside, a stone arch, torch holders. . . . whatever! would make them more interesting when you happen to stumble upon them, imo).

In that regard, I hope they add an actual tower, and not a boring old Aerherite (Ifrit) or a NPC (Moogle) to access the content. Granted, those two aren't raids but never the less it's a boring/lame way to enter the arena >.> WTB inaccessible Ifrit pit that I can at least see from a ledge below me or something. . . .

They aren't, it's one new area in Thanalan and other in Coerthas, don't recall the names tho.

The 2.0 documents says it will be expanded over time, sounds good to me!

Chances are it will be instanced because they will want it to work with the content finder.

It will no doubt be visable on the open world.
