PLEASE Give Our Legacy Tank Mounts the Ability to Fly!!!!!!!!

It\\'s not too late , can you please give the ability to the legacy tank mounts to fly. Considering the sheer amount of time and effort that it takes to unlock those mounts , and as of date, they are still unable to fly . I do understand that the armored tank mounts can but it would be appreciated if the original tank mounts could fly as well. It has been noticed that in the preliminary patch notes that certain amounts are given the ability to fly but I personally believe, and don\\'t think I\\'m the only one , that believes the legacy tank mounts should be given the ability to fly .

As someone who is on the verge of unlocking his final mount, let me ask you this - what point does the armored version have and the achievement associated with it if you can farm a nearly equal one for far less effort that can also fly?

I personally see it as a 2-stage unlocking set - you can get a smaller one for prestige earlier but get the real deal by working hard for it as a tank in relevant content.

Forgive me, but to honor the stage 2 mount achievement I prefer to keep the first one grounded despite the trend of making mounts fly.

I personally don't like the Battle Panther, and would rather have the War Panther fly. Don't mind working for it some more. I simply don't like the armor on the new ones. So there is that; personal preference. The War Panther is one of my favorite mounts.

EXACTLY, just as mine is the Warlion. Reinhardt, others, just like me, have been playing FFXIV since it\\'s initial release, when the cap was 50 and the highest item level was ilvl70. When tanking at that time was just as hard if not harder than it is today. There were no pay to lvl to 60 or buy top tiered gear from the market board (ill 350 craftable gear, Aug to iLvl 360 for example), and at that time, unsynced was not an option as the tank mount required high level, full party runs to count, as a comparison, that would be equivalent to running today\\'s Lvl 70 Savage trials with a party of Lvl 70 Party members. It does not help in the slightest. You also have to consider that when the Legacy Tank Mounts were earned back then, the sheer amount of players were significantly less than there is today, not to mention that we didn\\'t have cross-world party finders or duty finders, so the time spent waiting on ques were painful. All considered, I WILL say that I believe that earning the Legacy Tank mount was far more of an achievement then earning the new Tank Mounts of today, and deserve, more than any other, the ability to fly.

Now I do understand that now, in today\\'s environment, you can simply grind a Lvl 50 primal in a single day in under 2 mins with a party of tanks, and in less than 6 hours, you can unlock a Legacy Tank Mount, however, and if I understand your comment correctly, it is an offensive insult for those that invested the blood, sweat and tears to unlock it as it was intended to be unlocked. Riding a Legacy Tank Mount used to be a sign of pride and an extremely rare sight. You would be lucky if anyone even had a single Tank Mount, now people are saying they have 6 unlocked. I hate to be bitter, however, if they took such a prideful achievement and made it so easy to obtain that the present conception is one that your comment eludes to, I would have preferred that they make the Legacy Tank Mounts unobtainable once the means of unlocking them became irrelevant. Just as earning a Zodiac Weapon with ARR requirements or having to be subscribed for years to unlock the behemoth mount and now you can get it by unlocking a few achievements and buy it with a few points.

I apologize if this comment offends anyone to include Reinhardt, that was not my intent, nor to get into a forum fight, I want this comment to provide insight that just because certain things are easy to get or that they have became nothing more than a common place, that some people invested more time and effort then others can even begin to fathom back when it was something that you truly had to earn and be proud of.

I'm ok with the first set not flying. The panther is just silly, the bear looks stupid, and the lion is pretty cool...but not cool enough to fly with. My grip is that they extended the costs to get them. from 100 to 300? Doing from 100-200 was hard enough back in the day. Even grinding level 70 dungeons ad nausea for 8 hours gets you like...24 runs total. It's exhausting. 8-mans are currently out of the question as I am forced to pug them, and until they are uncapped/easy enough to do with high level gear, one of two things are likely to happen: 1) We succeed, but get maybe four runs total, because no one has the patience for long term farm, and everyone disbands. 2) We fail outright, and people rage quit. Right now, running dungeons is the best option for me...and it's sllllloooooooowwwwww. If anything, (And I know they won't, but still), reducing the cap to 200 would be nice.

if it were up to me this game would keep its realism by only allowing winged creatures, planes, and a few others to fly..
It makes absolutely no sense to have flying bears, chairs, carpets...
I mean.. its final fantasy... not magic fantasy

Yes please, I don't like the armored mounts at all and would prefer to fly on the mounts without armor.

And when you are at it please make the Ceourl from the 2.0 Collectors Edition able to fly too.

It's just a matter of copypaste, since the flying animations for these mount-models are already finished. Should not be too much work.

I, too, like the original form of the tank mounts. I don't mind doing the extra work to make the non-armored War Panther fly, for example.
