Thread: Thanks for ruining Mateus, SE.

Left Exodus over a year ago and eventually settled on Mateus, enjoying how small and tight knit the community was there, planned to get an FC house eventually for our FC in a month or so. Then you opened the floodgates form Balmung.

Within a week, there are no no free houses on Mateus after ages of the wards being nearly empty. I recognize names, they're all owned by transfers from Balmung who came over with their hundreds of millions. My FC can't have a house now, none of my friends who were saving for one can, because you were too lazy to bump up their own housing capacity but decided to give them ours instead.

Thanks for nothing.

You couldnt amass enough gil after a year for you and your friends to get a house?

It took my FC two weeks to save up 55 million together for a house.

SE didn't ruin your server as it was deemed to have too low of population which is why your housing areas just sat empty, from the sounds of it the the transfer program did exactly what it was suppose to do fill up the world with more people while reducing other servers.

If the Balmung floods are on Mateus, then this means #deleteMateus too?

Also you could have made more gil in Mateus than in Balmung lol, everyone in balmung crafts and overcuts prices, so if you couldn't afford a house in 1 year in Mateus I don't think you'll ever had it anyway <_<

Shirogane will open on the horizon and you can keep checking for houses that have been demolished via the residential zone listing at city aetherytes. You still have a chance at a house, you just don't get to casually walk up and buy it on a whim.

What did you want SE to do? Lock your low pop server from transfers? That's counter productive.

To add to that, a transfer can't come over bearing hundreds of millions of pure gil with them. They can bring 10mil + 5mil per retainer. The best that they can do is bring additional worth through items and try to sell it on the AH to make back their gil.

Didn't they say you could bring 999million with the free transfers?

anyway, sorry you can't get a house now, I too enjoyed close knit communities like on Goblin. But there's still Shirogane housing to look forward to and it's one the best if you ask me
