There won't be anything official, as SE telling the world where their servers are is a bad idea. No company tells the public the location of their production equipment.

That’s all I will say any more on the matter in light of a certain matter.
SE had a center in Canada, that's where it was moved from.

Of course it would remedy to change to a new data center and ISP but we don't know that. You have to remember SE felt the move was a needed change for futureproof their game since they were bottlenecked at the old centre in Canada.
    1) Do you have an official (or unofficial) dataset the corroborate your statement that people affected are a minority? It's an easy assumption to make sure, but you're coming off as stating it as fact. By doing so you're heavily marginalizing those of us who are suffering.

    2) NTT is SE's chosen ISP. It is 100% their responsibility to lean on them to ensure customers aren't having issues. As we are not NTT customers (and neither are our ISPs) we cannot do anything. I'm not sure if you're familiar with how other game companies have handled this issues in the past (in fact Riot was very open about how they did), it is something that is commonly done. SE has just chosen to either not do it, or not pay for it.

    3) It's true that SE felt a move was needed (and it was), but that doesn't mean they made the best decision for the playerbase, or even for themselves. I mean hell, they made 1.0 too, Diadem Eureka, etc. They're not above making bad, or incorrect decisions.

I have -never- said it's facts but sorry if it coming off that way. I've based my comments on unofficial census that indicated there is roughtly 250-260k active players in NA data centres. Among these we don't know how many that actually lives in NA as there is still plenty EU players playing on NA servers.

However just follow the support threads here and on Reddit I'd say we have a few dozens players. We have no idea how many that is affected but I still think its a minority that have voiced their concerns and frustrations. And SE is not gonna release any official numbers where their players IP comes from.

I'm not aware and shouldn't be aware what other companies handles similar situations. I work in ISP myself so I have a little ground to stand on. If SE is correct in what they say, that they have a solid connection to the data center they can't really do much. The fault is at NTT and I agree SE should be making demands on NTT but that all they can do. They might as well be locked in contracts so they can't really move to a different data center if they wished and if it makes sense from a business perspective. Switching data centre isn't cheap.

So again from their perspective, say this affects .. 10k/250k with higher ping and occational random disconnects from the service, it going be hard to justify a move.

They should however look into open another data centre to make it better for more people and I hope they are looking into that.

Don't really have a comment, you're spot on on this point.

For the past 2 weeks i've been getting rubberbanding and nasty lag non-stop, ever since they did that update on the 4th for PS4. Game is barely playable, when i cast a spell it gets "interupted", monster/players rubberbanding every where. I wanna play this game more, but so far, i might of lost over 10days of sub time due to this disgusting lag.

And yeah, i don't lag on any other games beside this one. GTA:Online,BF1,Brawlhala,COD 3,WW2 and TERA are all fine.

I didn't ask at all where the servers were, that was not my question. Don't worry about it...

Aaaaand, this is the other possible wrench in the works. The assumption I've been reading throughout is that the problem is primarily that of PC players, as opposed to yet another possible culprit being PSN. So, how about it? Are all of you folks who posted earlier PC players or PS4 players?

10k/250k is 4%.That's a lot. Without context though it's meaningless, which is where my original point came in.

Both. I've also moved, so I have experienced PS3 and PS4 with the Montreal location (in Ohio), and PS4 and PC with the California location (New Jersey). Two different ISPs, as well - Time Warner/Spectrum (Ohio) and Comcast (New Jersey).

I had infrequent trouble with Level-3 in Ohio, though it did rear its head from time to time. Usually when it did I was done for the entire night; lasted for hours. They relocated the server several weeks before I moved, wherein I noticed - obviously - the increased ping, but was also pretty much instantly subjected to just a poorer quality connection all around. There wasn't a time I didn't have "Excellent" displayed with Level-3/Montreal, but very frequently with NTT/California I'd get "Good" and nothing else. Multiple disconnects per week, especially inside PvP, and every night would be some level of latency BS. Some better than others. The only positive thing I can say is that, unlike with Level-3, the later into the evening it got the less noticeable the problems became.

I have constant trouble with NTT in New Jersey, and some extra ping relative Ohio for good measure (not unexpected, but that's two increases for me within, say, 6 months). Unless I'm playing in the morning/afternoon I can expect to have an awful time, amusingly moreso inside instances than outside. There are times I can be in the housing ward and do rotations and such just fine on a striking dummy, but the moment I hop into an instance it all goes to hell. Doesn't matter if it's a PvE or PvP instance, nor whether it's a dungeon, a trial or a raid.

Also fun fact: Once you're in the game you can get disconnected from PSN and it won't boot you from the game or otherwise affect your connection unless you need to re-authenticate the launcher.

The ideal server location would be somewhere in Colorado or something. Sacramento is just too far from most of NA.
