How good are Pagos weapons compared to Kai weapons?

Since 4.4 comes out on the 18th, I was gonna try and crack down on O8S before it dropped so I could get my clear (and hopefully the mount as well). Since I spent so much time in Eureka trying to get Louhi's card, I'm only three crystals away from getting my Elemental Tuck for RDM.

So, I was curious: is it a better weapon than Shishio Kai? The additional Materia slots appeal to me, but I have yet to see its stats.

Technically, the Eureka is better just because it allows for five materia slots. Another is Red Mage hates Spell Speed and values Critical Hit. Seeing the Shishio has the former, that's another mark against it. Regardless, come next Tuesday i380 crafted weapons will become available as will a i385 weapon from Suzaku EX. So I wouldn't bother worrying about i370 stuff now.

I suppose I could just gear up to 390 and come back to Kefka, but I already did that for Exdeath and it made me disappointed to win that way. I guess I'll try as much as I can in the time that remains.
