What are Hunts like on Cactuar?

Coming from Balmung to Behemoth, now on Cactuar and I'd like to know what the hunts scene is like.

Are there linkshells to be a part of? I don't really see shouts or anything. I've seen SB A hunts up for more than a few hours Saturday afternoon Pacific.

I am in 2 linkshells currently for Hunts, but last I checked they both may be full; I’m not online at the moment to double-check. There are probably more, but I only know of the two I’m in, and they’re both very active. Both have avid groups of Hunters that both spawn and call out Hunts (sometimes in both channels, if they’re in both), and occasionally they share calls in the NN. They also don’t tolerate early pulls or griefing.

I’ve participated in some early morning SB Hunt Trains with members of the LS before, though it’s been a while as Hunts haven’t been a priority for me. They all seem like fairly nice people, and the trains are pretty efficient.

Thanks for the info! My experience with hunt trains were early Hunts implementation, after that the Balmung Hunts and Behemoth Hunts scenes were pretty much: People have hunts linkshells. People go out and spawn/call out hunts. Hunts linkshells gather and kill, not really tolerating early pulls (on Behemoth). Having moved to Cactuar I've been a bit busy this weekend but the few times I've been around /sh SB A rank <flag> hasn't really yielded much.

How would you suggest I go about joining in?

This server has an excellent hunt community intertwined across several linkshells. S ranks are usually held for a few minutes giving special consideration to the spawners, and I've had the fun of helping spawn several myself. If you're serious about assisting in spawning them and scouting for A ranks there is plenty of support for you as it just plain helps everyone. Hope to see you around ;D
