Reassessing the Merger of FFXIV Worlds (02/13/2012)

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for the wealth of feedback you have provided us with following the announcement made on February 9, 2012 (Thursday), regarding the World merge and character transfers. In order to ensure that the most desirable and effective outcome is achieved, we will be reassessing the method of the merger process.

New details on the World merge will be made public as they become available in the Topics section of the Lodestone.

* The original announcement on the World merge and character transfers has been removed.

Pretty much what I'm hoping. If they finally decided to take down the original announcement, I would say it's because they're going to make a change in plans.

it's always good to see when the feedback is considered in the forums, so already kudos for that.

in this case it was probably because in ALL language forums the majority did not agree about the method of the merge.

Well I remember Yoshi-P say he was thinking to do the option 2 or a mixed of option 4 with the 2. But i am not seeing how a option 4 with the things of 2 would work O.o

But I am all for option 2 ^^

I think the server merge is the first thing that everyone has ever agreed on. That the way they wanted to do it sucked, and needed to be changed.

Option 4 is harder to implement then option 2. A delay would be pretty weird then.. but you never know idd.

Everything they do is better then Option 4 tho XD.

That is a wise business decision, they would have probably lost a good amout of inactive players that would have never came back if they were separated from old friends.
