    left analog sensitivity

i'm not sure if this counts as a bug but when i play with my xbox one controller on pc, I have this issue where it is very difficult to run straight forward. My character will always veer slightly to the left or right. This is intensified quite a lot when the camera is closer to my character or when i'm flying.

This does not happen when i play on my ps4, where the game seems to auto correct your movement by implementing a threshold in which your character will be moving straight forward as long as the analog is pointing within the threshold

I dont think there is an issue with my controller as this only happens in this game, I'm pretty sure this is an issue with the pc version of the game. Its kind of anoying so I was hoping this could be resolved with an option to turn this On and Off on pc (and maybe even being able to set the treshold)

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

When did this first start happening? Did anything change/update on your PC that coincides with this?

Do you have any other controllers you can test with the game? Does it exhibit the same behavior with the PS4 controller, for instance?

Is this a wired or wireless controller? If wireless, have you tried wired or vice versa?

I'd suggest trying a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

its always done this on pc, even on my old pc. Its does this whether I play wireless or wired. I cant try my ps4 controller right now since i lent it to a friend.
i'll try when i have a chance. But i'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the controller since its been doing this ever since the controller was brand new, and it works perfectly fine in other games.

Somebody else posted about this problem on a separate forum and might've worded it better than I have:

Thank you for the reply Jeremie.

I'm assuming this doesn't happen with the keyboard? Is there any other issues with the controller (losing control of the character, inputs not registering, etc.)?

How do you have the controller connected? Is it a native connection, or are you using a Steam Configuration or some other program?

Did you get a chance to try the clean boot?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
