How to fly with Bennu?

Hi Guys!

So recently I purchased Bennu and I saw that you could fly with it. However, I play with a controller on the PC and I couldn't find out how to fly. I tried remapping the controller, but the options are limited. I noticed that I could change the hotkeys for flying, but these work solely for keyboard mode... (I didn't try it out yet though)
So I was wondering if there's a way to fly with Bennu playing with a controller on a PC?

You can't fly until you reach Heavensward. Then you need to locate aether currents using your compass which will be given to you as you play and then you can fly.

So if you didn't have the expansion pack, you could never fly?
Not that I don't have it, but it's quite a detail that they didn't mention in the description...

It has more to do with the fact that the only zones with flight enabled are the ones introduced with Heavensward, and Stormblood. None of the mounts are able to fly in the ARR zones.

Flying wasn't introduced to the game until Heavensward came out. (Back when HW was new and still being advertised, it was part of what got hyped for that expansion.) Before it came out, there was no flight, so the original regions have only a very limited third dimension, not enough for flying.
