I really get the feeling that the danger of such a flood of light is nothing but a trap by the Ascians. We are on the losing side with a handful of calamities and suddenly freeing some countries creates too much light? I mean we only took down like three Ascians and otherwise have not done much with them. If helping cities is already flooding the land that much then this would really mean that Light = Good. Also this would surely mean that we would have to stand aside and watch horrible stuff happen for some kind of balance. Even though we still dont even know how that balance really function, how we know that one side has more and many more questions.

I also believe (and deeply hope) that all those death flags for Alphi are just red herrings. It feels more like Kan-E-Senna talked about Zenos and not a death comrade and Alisaie might just be sad because she heard about the destruction of the one ship that her brother was on, and her feeling powerless. I do have a bit of a death flag for poor Alpha..which I dont hope is the case.

Seemingly also the information about the primae in Doma has already reached the ears of the people in Garlemald. Strange how that is happening even though the party is not even back. (I know that its probably EliZenos that told them it but shouldnt they wait for the proof of the ones that got send there?) Thus the meeting with all the leaders could be about this situation and how they will deal with it and maybe its then when they get the message that Alphi is missing.

Anyway they have managed to weaken the populares and seemingly even killed some of them at that camp? All the talk about the might of Garlemald also sounds like they will fully go to war.

The question I'd ask is, what would need to happen for such a calamity?
The strange thing is, that we know that shards or worlds that are destroyed by either floods of darkness (which happened to the 13th one) or floods of lights (which we stopped) are useless for the Ascians too. And if our world who is the original one is destroyed by such a thing wouldnt that negatively effect all the shards too? (And completely destroy any balance that Elidibus wants) Also Hydaelyn was able to take all the light into her so why would a flood of light be even a problem? Honestly this just confuses me.
