4.4 Trailer!

I hope it is not Alphy who dies. He was just starting to get some proper developement.

Alphinaud is safe, they wouldn't just spoil something like that in the trailer.
Last time something like this happened the character people thought was dead turned out to just be slightly injured.

They did that because Alphinaud is the closest thing to a protagonist in the game, so it would make sense that he'd be the character used for the debut of a feature like that, since if this was a single player game he'd probably be the one we play as for the whole thing.

I'm... tired of this patch cycle. With the exception of a few pearls, I haven't enjoyed it nearly as much as HW and ARR. I'm patiently waiting for 5.0 and whichever jobs that brings. That ought to give me a jolt of excitement but for now, I can't bring myself to get hyped for 4.4. Hopefully the story will be interesting.

I am really worried for Alphinaud too.

He is too young to die imo. And honestly if they killed him off, I will stop watching the story. I also don't know what people saw to think that he is going to die... There aren't very many NPCs that I like and Alphinaud is one of the ones that I do. Although great to see Aymeric again! And am excited for the new fights!

and coerthas eastern lowlands got made into a pvp instance (fields of glory) similar to what they did to the rest of mor dhona (carteneau flats, borderland ruins). I was looking forward to xelphatol as a field zone but I'm over it now, I accept this will never be an open world kind of sandbox game. as a field zone they wouldn't get much more use than they would as instanced dungeons. It's just fates and gathering nodes and still fairly small maps.

Oh, I'd almost certainly say it's a data version of Middy as he was when he battled Omega ages ago. Given their history, I'd say Omega likely has plenty of data to recreate him as he once was before coming to Hydaelyn.
