    Pagos Question - lights

Got to lvl 34 today and was invited to a dragon farm for first time. Got there and there were 2 pts. One was saying we were messing their lights but we seemed to be getting light super fast and our pt leader swore it made no difference but I left due to the other pt being really upset and I didn't wanna step on toes or effect other ppls light.

Couldn't really find anything definitive via google searches so I figured I would ask here. So does sharing dragons effect light?

If you don't contribute enough, you don't get lights.
Your party may have simply been out-doing their party to the point where they couldn't get credit.

This is normal the mobs aren't designed for multiple parties farming them.
Find another set of dragons if this happens.
Or better yet, go to one of the many anubys camps.

To expand on it a bit, Light and exp gain are split between all people that kill a mob and sometimes if you don't do enough damage or get enough aggro, you'll get no credit, it's far less efficient for multiple parties to be attacking the same mobs.

You can easily test it. Kill a mob and see how much EXP you gain, then do it again and have someone outside of your party attack it, you'll get less. I can also effect if you get a chain or not.

If your party was fighting the same dragon as their party, they got less light. It's the same as Eureka's EXP system. You get less if more people are attacking it especially out of party. At least, that's what I've heard.

Ok thanks for the responses, I haven't bothered with too much research yet. And they were bickering so I decided to leave to as not be an unintentional jerk

I just made a topic where I had gauged the light gains of shared dragons versus single groups per dragon camp, as well as other "Feeble" values. Basically, the amount drops harder than a ton of bricks, from a noticeable growth per few kills to hardly any effect visible to the naked human eye per few kills.

If anything I hope such discussions as this raise awareness of how much damage sharing the dragons actually does, and maybe, just maybe, promotes constructive action from SE.

So, how does healing affect your chance of getting light?
Sure you can get a shot or two off, but nowhere near the levels of a dps

Healers accumulate enmity extremely quickly and kill credit as a result. This doesn't seem to be very common knowledge judging how often I die from tanking NMs despite several healers being around and them having a good 30 seconds or so to heal me as they were too busy DPSing.

It's the reason why they're the most commonly used classes for bots in Anemos/Pagos (Yes, they do exist much to my chagrin), as they can easily get full credit from NMs by just brainlessly spamming heals at everything in range that's missing health. They'll even do it outside of Eureka while trying to re-queue, so if you see some weird healer who blows all of their cooldowns on you almost instantly after you change to a class with a higher HP pool, that's what probably what you're dealing with.
