yeah like. I don't wanna unsub, but the content is just gonna be lame if it stays like this..I'm hoping 4.4 keeps me interested cause pagos sure hasn't.

4.4 won’t keep you interested, it’s going to be the same thing as the previous patches. First 4.4 then 2 weeks later savage then the 6 month wait for 4.5.

Then the cycle repeats while you still question why you’re still subscribing when all you do is sit in town and stare at your screen.

I’ll try to tell you the same thing before 4.5 comes out.

Pagos was released at a really poor time, as well, with the WoW expansion being out. It was either grind the same mob for hours upon hours for a weapon that's the same level as my mendacity one or play a new expac of a game. Now I'm trying to get into Pagos and having trouble bringing myself to do it at level 23 with no mount, no aetherytes and a huge crystal grind that's hurt by NMs being the best way to level.

Basically I have not been back in on my main after finishing my first weapon since the content the way it is currently is physically painful to me. Chain grinding for hours is not good on the hands at all and when you are a person with arthritis in your hands this content causes extreme pain. I checked things out on an alt after the changes but it still feels terrible especially on a lvl 20ish character. Trying to even find a group is rough since there is no party level sync feature. If you join the "train" you still don't actually get to do many fates as people don't wait for the walkers and fates do not pop consistently the way they do in Anemos so you can be in one spot and something across the map pops. You can see an entire lock out go by with a fate that people were grinding mobs for not show up.

Things that need to change: 1) add in an option to sync to party level. 2) make the fates work like they do in Anemos aka get rid of whatever arcane relation to the bunny fate or other weird factors that currently make fates not pop after the mob grind is done. 3) up the light farm and make the chain timer longer so people don't have to go non stop to do things. I can't imagine that the game designers want players to hurt themselves doing the relic grind so something needs to happen here. 4) Add in alternative ways to get the relics like there were in HW. You could do tomestones, hunt seals, or beast tribe tokens for the unidentifieds back then. So why not let people buy crystals with tomestones if they want. (Surely Rowena would approve of this ). 5) Remove the de-level factor. Let people explore without the potential of losing hours worth of work just because they wanted to see where that bunny was taking them. 6) Reduce the level needed for the northern aetherites and the ability to use our mounts again. 7) get rid of the sleepy dragons and buff light from other sources like letting all mobs mutate or adapt in any time / weather.

That's because you used NMs to level instead of chaining. Those that chained had about enough frosted crystals as they reached lvl 35.

You need groups to chain. I didn't play every single day when Pagos came out. So I got a few levels behind everyone else. When I did start to actively play every night and prior to the NM changes, I spent 5 days at level 28 because I couldn't get chain groups or they would split after a single run to 30. I had trouble putting my own together, because the instances were top heavy, so finding people behind like me was very difficult. The content was already starting to die. Now that the NM train is back, chain parties are pretty much nonexistent unless they are max level for light. So for many players, you're not going to level up if you don't use NMs.

I'm considering dropping more than just pagos like a hot popoto LOL if this is how it's gonna be from here on and the content of 4.4 doesn't get my interest back (cause pagos really burned my interest quite a bit) I'll most likely end up dropping the game as much as I like it..the content being like this is just off putting.

Same. Pagos and their tone deaf delivery of it really killed any interest that I had in this game.
Also I'm not too thrilled with their sticking their fingers in their ears and going "lalalala our obnoxious, boring relic grind we shoved down your throats isn't boring and obnoxious, no really, honest! lalalalala"
and for the rising, instead of addressing how adding rng to a timed event was stupid they went on and on about the rings. TONE. FRIKKIN. DEAF.

my sub will probably last a few days into 4.4 but at the rate they are going I doubt I'll renew.

Few corrections. Savage will release at the same time as 4.4 proper. They have only delayed it two weeks after an expansion launch. And 4.45 will come in 5-6 weeks, which will bring us Pyros (hold your applauds lol) and then in roughly fourteen weeks 4.5 releases. My estimated date is January 8th. The six month lull will come here since there won't be anything left except the expansion. Unless those leaks about Blue Mage turn out to be true.

Your point still stands though, and it's something that needs to change come 5.0. Someone in one of my discord's asks, "What new things have they done with Stormblood?" And honestly? Three things can be considered "new." Ultimate, Perform and Rival Wings. Of those three things, only one has remained relevant beyond a month. Too bad it's content only for top tier raiders. When the best content you release is an extremely difficult raid very few people can or even want to clear, your expansion isn't going very well. Everything else has been copy/paste in some form or another. Given how stubborn they have been regarding Eureka, it makes me think the bulk of their budget went into it and they're desperately trying to get people in there because they have nothing else until 5.0.
