Please SE more fight like Alphascape v4.0

I love this boss so much. I think this should be the norm for every dungeon fights.

I Started playing this game 5 or 6 months ago and this patch been really fun no faceroll dungeon or trials at all or maybe because peeps aren't geared yet, but I hope future trials or main dungeons should be like this

Out of curiosity, what is it you like about V4 in particular?

One thing I like about it is it gives both tanks something to actually do. Most normal mode raids/trials only really need one tank and the other is a glorified DPS unless the MT dies.

I'm not saying every encounter should have two bosses, but it feels odd going into a raid trial and either do 100% of the tanking or just being a simple dps job with some minor duties like tanking an orb in Chaos here and there.

A lot of the higher difficulty versions of fights tend to have a mechanic that forces a tankswap, or a powerful add that isn't going to be burnt down in time, or an attack that divides damage between two targets max, with very high base damage...

If anything, it's annoying, because it means that if one tank dies, the raid's a wipe. And this is the part of the expansion where death is likely, haven't nailed down the proper cooldown rotations yet.

This fight is honestly probably my favorite 8-man raid fight. I’ve already farmed it enough to get the orchestrion for it, but I go back in several times a week just to do the fight again. I like that I actually have to heal for once; I know that the healing requirements will lighten once people are better geared, but even in i380 I still have to actively heal more than I’ve had to any other 8-man at launch.

Likewise... well said and I couldn't agree more.

Right off the bat, I loved Omega's true character design and the music. And then it was the overall theme of the fight of having two bosses and actually keeping both of them fully engaged while still maintaining the semblance of an 8-man raid. Just brilliant.

Lastly, I still love the ending cutscene and it's unique poignant feel as Omega suddenly attains a new realization.

Personally, I prefer the first one (A1), despite the fact it's nothing fancy - just a relaxing fight centric on movement and positioning more than "Oh no, use Medica/CureIII", which (as a WHM main) is what A4 devolves to for me. Yes, it is healing intensive, but aside from having to move occasionally or ensure you're not knocked off the platform by Omega-F, it tends to boil down to AoE healing and seeing whether other people are even remotely aware of where they should move to.

Not devaluing the fight - it's pretty epic and a worthy finale, but there is less to it for a WHM than various previous raids. Even Kefka involved more to do for me than Omega M/F.

Have to say I agree... been mostly tanking this tier, but it just seems like there is something for everyone to do in Alphascape 4.0, and just enough AoE's etc. to keep everyone on their toes without being overwhelming / too confusing.

Edit: I should also add that I enjoy it because, similar to the Rathalos Trial, it's chaotic (and reasonably telegraphed), as opposed to having to learn a bunch of pre-positioned dance steps.

hmm, I think its because of the amount of chaos that is going on after the boss get splits into two, that dps check, splitting the raid in two for equal amount of damage , the " oh crap mistake and you die" .
I'm fairly new to the game and haven't really experience a good fight till this patch . I just can't wait to get geared and start doing extreme trials or savage mode.

It's interesting because it makes you have to time your single utility actions a little more than normal. Previously you would just Pallisade, Apoc, Shield etc the mt mostly seeing as they take the brunt of the damage but with both tanks taking hits and some of your party running around like headless chickens you often need to be more aware of what's happening, and that's just in normal mode!
